Five and Six are lowkey the only ones using their Legacies to their full potential (+ Maybe Einar in Reborn). Everyone else lowkey forgets what they're capable of sometimes.

I *really* wish nine and five had gotten over their shit. Very disappointed that there was never a scene where they were screaming their side at each other during their invasion fight, never figured it out. Even in the second series.

Dont get me wrong, they were both assholes, but a lot of their beef came from miscommunication. Give me an angry nine yelling about what actually happened to him in prison, asking how he could side with them. Give me an angry five yelling about how he got recruited so young, so lost, how lorien failed him.

could john make water if he used marina’s ice legacy in one hand then used his lumen w the other hand … he needed to take advantage his ximic more often

i feel like there r so many creative ways characters could have used their legacies that just werent explored yk. like if nine made his center of gravity be on himself could he js go 0G??

I think the opposite! I think the danger of Nine's legacy (in the sense that a young tween or teenager would be learning how to use it on their own) is kind of underplayed and maybe it shouldn't be? If he made his gravity just To The Left while training for example, he could have chucked himself off the Hancock tower. Or if that's something they lost control of in a body of water that could totally kill a kid on accident. I think making his base of gravity himself would at the very least cause some internal distress, because his feet (based on how his legacy works in the OG series and novella) REALLY want to be planted on a surface. I think he'd give himself some incredible vertigo. And also that it was probably a massive boon that he developed it as one of his last legacies and not as his first, because I could absolutely see this being one of the legacies that would occasionally get young garde accidentally injured or killed back on Lorien

Eight's attitude towards humans is so interesting to meeee personally. Like he gets upset about Five's interpretation of him using his followers as shields, and really loves and cares about them, and says that he has worked to trust humanity again-

But. he never did tell them the truth, did he? I think part of that was not wanting to make their lives harder- but I think no matter how badly he wanted to trust, and knew intellectually that he could trust them, he could never quite bring himself to go all the way. Poor kid

I mean he obviously feels deeply bad about both what happens to his followers and lying to them, and I can't help but wonder if that extends into feeling angry with himself for not being able to trust enough, be good enough. I wonder if he felt like he was pretending among the other garde to be someone he wasn't. I wonder if part of the reason Five and his TakesTM freaked him out so bad is because he was worried they were more accurate than he let on.

I wonder if part of the reason he chose to die as fate foretold was so that he could be good enough, at least in death.
