For the first time ever in my life I have finally run for 3 minutes straight. That’s not much to some, but that’s huge for me!! I’ve never been able to run at all, but this gives me hope that one day I’ll be able to run a lot more.

For the first time ever in my life I have finally run for 3 minutes straight. That’s not much to some, but that’s huge for me!! I’ve never been able to run at all, but this gives me hope that one day I’ll be able to run a lot more.
Still chugging along.
Wednesday I took my rest night because I had to go to the doctors after work and got home really late, but yesterday was a really good back and arm day! I also walked for about 25 minutes on my lunch and sweat pretty good.
I walked on lunch again today for another 25 minutes and did a decent chest day, followed by 20 minutes on the treadmill. The first 15 were the walk 1 / run 1 but the last five I walked on an incline and steadily brought it down each minute. The runs seemed easier today, but that very well could be because it was on the treadmill and not outside.
I like walking on lunch because I’m getting a good sweat in, but also, I know that if something happens after work or something else comes up, I did SOMETHING for the day. Plus, it helps me get my steps in!
We went to the park again today and I did the walk 1 / run 1 and it was only slightly easier than it was yesterday. I just hope it’s all paying off in the end. I just really wish I could see more results because that’s what keeps me going, but I’m really trying to keep my head up.
Sunday I decided would be a rest day, but I did take the dogs for a short walk. It was too hot out to take them on a much longer one.
Yesterday we went to the park and did the walk 1 / run 1 for 20 minutes with a 5 minute warm up and cool down walk. I feel like it is 10 times harder to do this at the park than it is on the treadmill and I don’t really know why! I’m so much more out of breath quicker and I can’t even catch my breath like I usually can on the treadmill. I wanted to cry the whole time yesterday because it sucked so bad, but I did it because I knew I’d be mad at myself if I didn’t.
It’s getting harder and harder to want to workout anymore and especially with not really seeing any results. It’s making me doubt myself but I’m trying just to push through.
It’s been a good weekend so far!
Yesterday I busted out a good shoulder workout and then did my walk 1 / run 1 set for 30 minutes.
Today, we did a lot of walking at the Natural History Museum and then I did a good chest workout. I was so damn tired. Like eyes hurting, exhausted kind of tired. But I forced myself to do it.
The thought of getting back on that treadmill today was like death to me. I don’t know why, so I ended up doing the walk 1 / run 1 at the park today with the dogs and we were all dying. I try to at least take my dogs for a walk every day, regardless of my workout, and I think I need to keep it that way. They barely made it. I’m just proud of us for doing it!
Slowly, but surely.
I was really bummed today because I gained another pound from yesterday, which was my lowest in a long, long time. Not that that’s saying much, but it was a small victory for me. I need to learn to not rely on the scale so much, but I’ve found it’s the one thing that keeps me consistent and on track.
Yesterday was a really good arm and back day. My arms are still sore.
I just finished my workout today: walk 1 minute / run 1 minute for 30 minutes. Sweating my ass off, but I love the sweat. I really, truly feel like I’m making progress.
Yesterday was a decent day, workout wise.
Did 30 minutes of walking 1 minute and then running 1 minute. I had initially planned to stop after 20 minutes but I decided to just keep going. Then we took the dogs for about a 45 minute walk at the park and got quite sweaty there too. It felt good though. It felt even better to wake up to the scale supporting the hard work I put in yesterday!
What a day...
I didn’t workout really, but we did take the dogs for a nice, long walk through the woods today. It’s been such a rough day with added cramps on top of that. I hope tomorrow gets better.
I know I’m going to kick myself tomorrow.
I didn’t workout today. It was a planned rest day, anyway, but I did still want to walk/run on the treadmill since we ate out for lunch but my hip started killing me a couple hours ago. We still took the dogs for a short walk, but it was rough. I’m going to just try to take it easy tonight and hope that it doesn’t hurt tomorrow. I hope I didn’t completely ruin all the progress I made this week.
Saturday sweat sesh done 💪🏻
I repeated the C25K Week 1 cycle today because I just wanted to sweat a bit, but also, I’m not sure I’m quite ready to tackle Week 2 and running for 90 seconds straight. I’ll give it a shot on Monday, but I have been struggling with just the 60 seconds. I’m trying to be patient with myself and I know I’ll get there, but I just get mad at myself for even letting myself get this bad.
Technically, I should be doing some strength training today, probably some legs and abs. Maybe in a bit here. Those are the two days I hate the most in strength training 🙄
Man, I did NOT want to do it today.
But I did. I’m proud of myself for pushing through and doing it even though I reaaaaallllyyyy didn’t want to with all my might. This is really big for me. Usually I would just call it a rest day and say I’ll do it tomorrow and then never do it, but I really did. I guess this is what they mean when they say it’s about dedication, not motivation.
C25K Week 1, Day 3 done!
I’m so proud of myself.
Normally, I would use holidays as an excuse to eat like shit and not worry about working out. Today, even though we went out for breakfast, I only ate half of it and I didn’t gorge myself on food like I usually do. Then we sweat our asses off shopping a bit and came home and worked out hard on chest and shoulders.
It may not seem like a bit deal to most people, but it truly is for me.
Happy 4th of July!
C25K Week1, Day 2 done! 💪🏻
Just taking it one day at a time. This shit sucks but it feels good to sweat, again!
Back and arms done 💪🏻
I’m back. I’m going to do it this time.
I don’t have a choice. I am so tired of being fat. I am so tired of starting over. I am so tired of paying $50 for a shirt just because I have to wear plus-size. I am tired of never being able to find anything to wear. I’m tired of holding not only myself, but my significant other back from things I can’t do. I am tired of being so winded just walking around the block. I am tired of worrying if I’ll be able to keep up with kids, or even have any for that matter. I’m tired of always being hotter than everyone else because I’m carrying around so much extra weight. I’m tired of being jealous of other people. I’m tired of being the fat friend/daughter/girlfriend/etc. I’m tired of being a disappointment. I’m just tired. So I’m going to change it.
Finished Week 1, Day 1 of the C25K. I was dripping in sweat and wanted to quit every minute, every second of it, but I did it and for me, that’s a big step.
No more excuses. I can do this. 💪🏻
If anyone out there needs an accountability buddy, please hit me up! I can use all the motivation I can get!

Keto Help!
Anyone have a good meal plan to follow for keto that doesn’t quite involve a ton of vegetables? I know it sounds so juvenile and picky, but I’ve tried them many, many ways and just can’t get down with most veggies. I can tolerate cucumbers and carrots, but only dipped in something. Slowly coming back around to cauliflower, but it’s tough to get down.
I know a good chunk of keto is veggies, but what if you just don’t like them? I’m not going to choke them down and torture myself. It’s supposed to be a lifestyle change, and that’s not going to last very long.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!
