He gets caught in the corner more than once; lights off, rain pouring down, alone with his thoughts. Perhaps it was another split cup of tea or a dropped stack of notes; a forgetfulness of gravity. Maybe he’s missing Dad, or the solitude of space he’s been parted from, or maybe he’s just worrying, again, about how well he fits in with his brothers. About how he’s the space oddity, and the way the years made that title leave a heaviness in his chest, instead of a joy. Perhaps he’s thinking about how the distance between he and his family is not all literal.

But what they all agree, seeing him in that corner with his atmospheric-pressure headache and thin shoulders, is that however much John tells them he’s not lonely…

He is.

"Guess I better go and find a brush for this lot. Sorry John, couldn't resist. Any resolutions? I could make mine not to creep up on you".

The lines 'I saw Santa in his bathing suit' 'He laughed so hard he could barely breathe' just made me think of a swim suitedGordon lying on the sand holding a present & wearing a Santa hat. Could you draw this?

That said I can say absolutely that in Australia on Christmas Day this outfit does happen. Growing up my grandparents lived on the Gold Coast and had a canal at the bottom of their back yard and on Christmas Day we went for a swim before breakfast and pressie opening. So yup - togs and Santa hats it was!!!

Thunderbirds Are Go head canon

That time Gordon got Virgil drunk enough to have him re-enact that scene from Magic Mike XXL where Joe Manganiello’s character does an improv strip act at a gas station shop to The Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” - and by re-enacting I mean, Virgil unleashing his inner male entertainer at an actual gas station, with that actual Backstreet Boys song playing in the background, albeit blasting from Gordon’s car stereo. He also recorded it and put it on YouTube faster than you can say FAB. Virgil will never forgive him. EVER.
