A post yapping about what lost temple may have looked like!! (<- from a fictkin of scythe)
I have a feeling it would be HUGE. Considering how it was probably a wealthy area, it was always expanding. Always. New houses, new people, new everything.
Houses were adobe and wood, coated with the special mud from Mudsdales. The mud was used mostly to protect houses from sandstorms, so they arenât as damaged as easily. The mud was used for pottery and houses, as it was sturdy when dried. It was common to do that!!
Iâd like to think Lost Temple is very.. cramped? I think thats the best word. There were some main streets, larger streets for market stands and for people to make their own money. It was sort of like⌠this, the larger streets I mean.
(both images unable to find original artist)
It was almost always crowded, yet people were almost always friendly to one another.
Also when I mean by Lost temple is huge, I mean HUGE. A huge city with a large Church as the capital (wow guys guess what the church is.) looking much like this! The biggest building is of course the Church.
(Art by Marceau Nakayama)
The smaller streets are much closer together, with cloth hanging above the roofs, to keep the roads cool. To keep people from overheating. The smaller streets arenât as crowded and youâll find smaller Pokemon there. The small streets are used more as shortcuts and delivery routes than a well used road. Many houses and townhouses have their entrances there too.
(Drawn by me)
Not everyone went to the chruch, But many did. People often went to Lost Temple was for the church, but also because they had a wide range of housing prices. From high costing large homes, to affordable family housing. With the influx of people, came an influx of smaller Pokemon too. Mainly Ekans, diglet, Gligar, and sandshrew.
Lost temple is, of course, home to many ground and rock pokemon. Larger Pokemon stray away from the city, often staying in caves or underground. One of the Pokemon you can find out in the lost temple wilds sometimes, if youâre lucky, is Steelix.
The reason steelix breach the ground is to feed on the large mineral rich deposits that litter the surface of the sand. More common things youâll see are Sandslash, Silicobra and Sandaconda, hippowdons, basks of sandiles, and maractus. Another common pokemon is Mandibuzz and Vullaby. The classic âvultures circling a tired personâ thing. Its funny but mandibuzz do live there!
Mudbray and Mudsdales live closer to the city is herds, living near oasisâs and more âgrownâ areas. Theyâre often tame and can be approached. These pokemon will help without trouble. Need to haul something? Ask a Mudsdale. Pottery? Mudsdale. The city thrives on Mudsdale. They feed the horses and the horses repay them with labor. The horses will also trust the demons to care for their young, which has led the mudsbray to be extremely friendly towards demons.
So, every phighter would choose one Pokemon to bring with them into a phight, that pkmn usually being their strongest or most bonded to. So as an example, Scythe would usually bring Noivern.
The phight would be teams as usual, 5 v 5 still, this time each phighter as a Pokemon. The Pokemon would battle any pokemon the opposing phighter would have for a short time, taking small nips at them if you want to see it as that.
A pokemon move would be assigned to a ability each phighter had. (Ex. Flat-Hat for scythe would be attached to Noivernâs water pulse, chasing flourish attached to Noivernâs X-scissor, ect.) for every ability a phighter would use, Their Pokemon would use the ability its attached to. Of course the cooldown would be attached as well.
These attachments also went for phinishers as well.
In this example, Weâll use Noivern and Scythe (again)
(Sneak peeks at other phighters pkmn wow! (Not set in stone sadly))
Ok letâs say scythe has her phinisher, And she plans on using Stalking Ambush (aka her scythe phinisher, not rifle)
Pokemon phinishers will be a move that they CAN learn, but donât already know. In this case, Noivern will be able to use fly. These phinishing moves cannot be chosen by the phighter and they cannot be changed.
They activate at the same time, but act differently.
While scythe is invisible, Noivern is in the air, EXTREMELY high up. High to the point barely anyone can see it. It will stay up there once Scythe decides a target.
Once the target is chosen and the phinisher is used, They both end.
Scythe knocks Skateboard off balance/off his board once hit and deals damage. Noivern will use fly on Skateboardâs pokemon, Scolipede. Type advantages still exist too.
A pokemon with a type disadvantage against a move will be hit as if they have the vulnerable status effect, amplifying the damage taken by that move.
If a pokemon faints, however, The phighter will get debuffed until its respawn. Afflicted with Slowness, and Antiheal for 4 seconds after their Pokemon faints. Once the Pokemon is respawned and back by the phighter, the debuffs will be removed. In annihilation matches, Pokemon fainting will not count towards the scores, Phighters are the only things that will add to scores.
Pokemon Phinishers are also based on their levels, the higher the level theyâre chosen to go into phights, the better the move will be. They only get these phinishers when they are first chosen for a phight. The power of the move will increase as they phight more however, so a low power move can become powerful the more phights they participate in!
Wow a scythe fictkin doing snakeself first? /silly
The team set up below!!
First we have her closest companion, Her Noivern!
Very specifically Shiny Noivern, the teal matched her! Plus she never seen a Noibat look so.. off before. She wanted it.
Lvl? = ~74
Male/Female? = Male
-> Move Set <-
Water Pulse -> living in the desert isnât for the weak! Water is difficult to come by, especially to cool down. So being splashed in the face by a giant bat is totally the best way to do that/silly
In all reality, itâs to deal with pesky rock and ground types!
Dragon Dance -> Power is feared, fear makes you respected. Using Dragon Dance allows for Noivern to hit hard and fast, perfect for him!
Shadow Ball -> A good move to have around in general! Usually used to finish off weaker opponents or to threaten anyone who owes her and the cult money.
X-Scissor -> a classic bug-type! But, why bug? Why X-scissor? It looked cool. Also it pairs well with Dragon Dance in terms of being a Physical attack.
Ability? = Infiltrator
Nature? = Naughty (+atk/-sp.d)
Item? = muscle band
Extra? = This Noivern was built around Physical attack. While usually Noiverns have high special attack, This oneâs physical attack is higher than its special attack!
Next up, Persian!
Any âvillainsâ best friend! Of course sheâd want one!
Lvl? = ~70
Male/Female? = Female
Power Gem -> Get blasted with rocks AUUGGG!!! A perfect move when youâre surrounded by nothing but sand and rocks!
Hypnosis -> being the teams main set up pokemon, Scythe uses hypnosis to put to sleep any pokemon she thinks she may need to set up to sweep!
Charm -> Lowering attack is a wonderful idea when it comes to other teams! Persianâs main set up is to set up after all!
U-Turn -> Usually used when Persian is no longer needed! Quick escape so that nobody had to take that much damage!
Ability? = Limber
Nature? = Timid (+spd/-atk)
Item? = quick claw
Extra? = Persian usually has a bell collar on, simply to make her look cute!
Next up, Mudsdale!
Whatâs a cowgirl without a horse?
Lvl? = 71
Male/Female? = Male
Superpower -> Built for power, Mudsdale does not play around in battle! His main move to be used whenever Scythe needs a sure shot to kill!
Earthquake -> when youre surrounded by sand and rocks, the best thing to do is make it crumble! This move has been.. responsible for more than one house destructions in Lost temple (oops!)
Heavy Slam -> A heavy horse will hit HARD if it decided to slam into you! Most opponents are less heavy than this big guy!
Rock slide -> what better way to take care of flying typed than to chuck rocks at them? Any pesky flier canât get past this big guy!
Ability? = Stamina
Nature? = Relaxed (+def/-spd)
Item? = Rocky helmet
Extra? = Outside of battle, this guy is a big softy! He often helps with making new houses in Lost Temple, both to reinforce walls and to haul heavy loads!
Next, Scyther!
Why not have a pokemon that matches your gear?
Lvl? = ~ 69
Male/Female? = Male
Swords dance -> This bug is ready to attack, Heâll sharpen his claws to cut through any pokemon in his way! A physical attacker needs their buffs after all!
Pounce -> His already high speed mixed with the speed lowering ability of this move can lead to a dangerous outcome for the opponent.
Lunge -> much like Pounce, Lunge lowers the attack of the opponent. Scytherâs low health pool needs to be able to withstand as many hits as possible after all!
Aerial Ace -> STAB move galore! This bug uses Aerial ace to knock down any opponent in quick succession. High damage is all this bug needs!
Ability? = Swarm
Nature? = Adamant (+atk/-sp.atk)
Item? = focus sash
Extra? = Scyther wasnât actually caught in Lost Temple! He was found in the crossroads (for some reason) and Scythe loved how it had scytheâs like her!
Next, Krookodile
An outlaw needs their bandit partner!
Lvl? = ~72
Male/Female? = Female
Fire Fang -> Grass types causing a problem for her or her pokemates? Not anymore! A move specifically made to rip apart those annoying plant-loving creatures!
Dragon Tail -> If sheâs up against an opponent she canât take, sheâll simply switch them out! As well as get rid of any buffs they may have! Sheâs always prepared
Lash Out -> She hates getting her stats lowered, so when she gets her stats knocked down a peg, she turns to lash out. It can be a pretty hurtful move!
Gunk Shot -> what better way to kill opponents than with poison? With the poison, it makes it easier to chip away health and kill usually difficult opponents!
Ability? = Moxie
Nature? = Jolly (+spd/-sp.atk)
Extra? = This krookodile has just as much sass as Scythe. She isnât afraid to judge you and your outfit choices.
Lastly, Ekans!
Every geardemon should have a pokepet!
Lvl? = ~12
Male/Female? = Male
Wrap -> While usually not in battle, It still can fight! Wrap is used to chip hp and get it low enough to kill!
Poison Sting -> Much like Krookodile, Ekans loves his poison! He can poison his enemy to chip away HP, itâs especially effective when mixed with Wrap!
Glare -> Not the fastest, Ekans paralyzes opponents to knock their speed down a huge chunk. Bonus if they get completely paralyzed!
Bite -> whatâs a snake without their bite?
Ability? = Shed skin
Nature? = Impish (+def/-sp.atk)
Extra? = Scythe absolutely adored ekans. Heâs adorable in her eyes! Now the little snake slithers beside her as a close partner if Noivern isnât out!
