Dear Darkwood fandom residents, I want to scare you with the news of a second translated fanfic, aka "that monolith of 70,000 words"
(unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to create a good announcement image, so here's a mini-stranger and an even smaller trader for moral support)

Unfortunately, because chapter 4 is finally coming into development and I couldn't abandon the project, I decided to translate the fanfic into English. My knowledge of English isn't perfect, and after rereading it, I found a couple of logical errors that have been corrected. But if you find any, please let me know and I'll fix them.
In short, this is my attempt at a fanfic based on a couple of ideas and dreams, which would ultimately lead to a happy ending, if not for everyone, then for many of the characters. Only three chapters are ready so far, but plans for the remaining seven plus a game-style epilogue are already in place (they've been there for at least two years now)
In general, it all started with the idea of "what if the Trader just got tired of explaining everything in small print and finally did something interesting?"
And yes, there are plenty of little references, like how I named the Musician after the book his character is apparently based on. The music from Chapter 1 is the same music that played in one of Darkwood's release trailers, and it really captures the game's vibe. There are also jokes about how mushrooms help other plants grow, which is why Trader will be hanging out in the garden at the end, and so on and so forth.
Well, one day I'll convince my friend to post all the sketches and art made about Darkwood on Tumblr so you too can see the parade of memes that was created during a whole year of active Darkwood propaganda.

Seeing that fetus or...im not sure what in the basement in the "true ending" made me think maybe it was the protagonists anxiety manifesting. Maybe his wife or girlfriend was pregnant.
Burning the entity saved her. But now there's a game 2 coming out...what if our actions were not enough?
I'm sitting here worrying about this fictional woman with zero relevance to the game.
Its already dark enough that every other character is dead, but seeing the doctor thinking he's with his family, and knowing that canonically wolfman is supposedly rotting there too...ugh ✋
Darkwood 2. Obviously all other theories are bogus and what actually happened is the doctor and Wolfman decided to be bros, adopt the musician, and made their way to the new location where they planted a baby infected tree and it started again 😔 ✌️ right?! Right????!!!!!

The musician waited for me to return and then found a hatch. So did he escape? Did someone rescue him? If he followed the direction I went, won't he end up with me in my hometown/apartment?!
Wtf is Wolfman doing spending his days chasing his tail? Did he dumb down 100% into an animal and lose his hunter/human side?!
Honestly, I'm heartbroken it's ended but I'm so confused.
Literally crying about the musician in the hideout in chapter 2. He just sits all day and begs me to stay (I haven't got any further, so any spoiler people will be placed on the wall or shame ✨)
Thinking about continuing my fic 🤔 I was thinking either Pio or Musician should come investigate readers whereabouts at wolfmans hideout. But I'm not sure I can let anything bad go near them 🤣 😭 maybe the trader? That would be *Michael Rosen* noice. Maybe even the doctor 😳? Basically just the trader is vaguely tough enough to rescue her I guess 😭
Please please we only have like 70 darkwood fics to sustain us for the winter! The children (musician, piotrek, the elephant mother's kids) will starve if we don't write!
The true ending to Darkwood is obviously going to be the stranger marrying the trader, and they adopt both Piotrek and the musician as their sons. And Wolfman is just this annoying uncle that totally doesn't want anyone dead.
