About my OC, the Lost King
Okay guys, at the possibility of introducing my Doom OC to the fandom here, I need to make this character sheet in order to keep everything in order and for you to understand that isn't only about one character, it's also a whole story around this person, his relation with the Slayer, his role in the Doom lore, his fate as the Marauder and how it could fit to the Doom Eternal story.
Let's start it.
Name: Eratos
Meaning: Elected Chief (Celtic)
Race: Argenta
Class: Elite Night Sentinel
Affiliation: Sentinel royalty
Military rank: General
Religion: The Elemental Wraiths
Height: 2.5 m
Hair: Brown (Bald)
Eyes: Greyish brown
Weapon: Argent energy Axe and shield, and Super Shotgun (later)
Relationships: Flynn Taggart/Doomguy (Rival, comrade and love interest), Commander Valen (second in command), King Novik (Crown candidate), Priests of the Order Dreag (Protector), Maykrs (Enemies).
Background: General Eratos was in his time, the toughest warrior of his generation. Last generation of a fierce family who fought for Argenta since the reign of King Ormero, Eratos was a promise for the crown. With power enough to compete King Novik's power, he's humble and honorable enough to accept his role as Commander Valen's second in command, despite Valen's suggestions to the king about considering Eratos as the future king. To the point of Novik starting to accept the idea.
When Flynn Taggart arrived to Argenta, Eratos greeted him with skepticism and hostility, which only grew worse as King Novik entrust the task to him and Valen to train him after he won his freedom in the Coliseum.
Eratos' negative thoughts about the Outlander only grew worse when the demons invaded Argenta, blaming him even and challenging him in battle to prove his worthy.
But as they were send together with a regiment to Hell in order to stop the invasion at first, and later to find the source of the demon's power, Eratos started to see Flynn with other eyes. After witness countless of times how the Outlander manage to defeat huge groups of hellish creatures and even fighting side by side with Eratos, showing that actually they even fight together in harmony. Both are powerful, unstoppable, fierce, fearless. Like equals.
Finally Flynn opens more to Eratos and they spend together a lot of time in Argent D'Nur, knowing echother, spending the time in silence, enjoying each other's company, sharing secrets. Their camaraderie grew stronger, seeing each other as brothers in arms. As equals in Eratos' words once Flynn was officially accepted as a Night Sentinel. Feelings that bloom into romance in both sides... but unsure about how to express those.
Until the Battle of Taras Nabad take place, Flynn became the Doom Slayer and things break apart between them.
