this fandom was created by people of different ages who just had fun. some made scary pictures, some told creepy stories. some made mmds videos, some made memes.

here is a reminder that dark content has a right to exist as long as you acknowledge that whatever is going on there is not justifyible and should not happen in real life.

yesterday i got called out on hypocricy in that one post that blew up. quote: "how can you say that everyone is allowed to have fun and then exclude someone who's having fun (aka mishi-mishi)". it was probably stupid of me to engage in a discussion, but like i don't have a pr team watching over me and hr ain't in the room, so.

creepypasta is a fandom that is based on stories about serial killers, murderous entities and whatnot. and while yes, it's a fiction and you're allowed to let your fantasy roam free, you're kinda obliged to have enough common sense to realize that some things are just... not right to post. digital footprint is still a thing, you know??

in our age of desensitization to all sorts of nswf content, you still have to be mindful of what you're posting because - surprise, surprise! - like it or not, there are children out there. especially if you're a pretty known content creator whose audience consists of said children. for reasons, everything from this point as alleged (iykyk). you can't just drop some 18+ arts with underage characters (yes, they were aged up. to 12 and 13 years, btw.) and expect everyone to just roll with it. yes, you could argue that if you don't like it - just avoid it. you see, it works when you KNOW that this content creator does this kind of thing and can block them in advance. back then, no one expected mishi-mishi to post something like that and damn was i bamboozled when i first saw that shit. and this is exactly why the whole ordeal happened. let me clarify - mishi-mishi only stopped drawing this type of stuff because people attacked her. not because she realized that it's wrong and not because she changed. she said she doesn't see anything wrong with it, because sally is her character and she has every right to do with her what she wants.

yeah. you probably do. but don't expect everyone to just accept this. anyway, the drama is old, everyone moved on, but i just wanted to specify that everyone is allowed to have fun in their own way without being a damn creep who draws cp and insists that it's okay.

personally i think that anything can be drawn or written to shine some light on touchy and dark topics, but as soon as underage characters are involved, you have to be SUPER careful and mindful of what you're doing. because otherwise it's just messed up.

if you don't support my opinion just block me like that commentator did because i am, in fact, a little summer child, a snowflake and i will throw a tantrum feat if i see one more person trying to defend this type of behaviour. mwah.

Like don't get me wrong, I can absolutely fuck with more 'realistic' versions of these characters, but I don't think we should be going for people's throats if they're making OCs, are into the Slendermansion or anything like that.

Both sides of this fandom can (and should be able) to coexist, and I'm tired of saying otherwise~

En la historia de estos personajes, Zalgo está aburrido y decide arruinarle la vida a esta gente regalando tratos y prometiendo paz luego de cumplirlos.

Jeff debe matar a Liu o se va al infierno. Nina debe encontrar las partes de su hermano, su corazón está dentro del muñeco en su bolso y lo escucha latir cuando está cerca de una de sus partes. Jack hizo un trato estúpido para ganar unos segundos antes de morir sin leer la letra pequeña. Jane tiene que matar a Jeff, igual que Liu, salvo que Liu no hizo ningún trato con Zalgo, por lo tanto no es un "creepy" y no puede matarlo, puede que tenga que aliarse con ella. Slender tampoco hizo un trato con Zalgo, sino que tuvo un mal cruce con él y lo condenó a su forma actual, ahora lo que hace es proteger a los creepys de las cámaras y las redes para que no llamen tanto la atención y simplemente cumplan con sus tratos, cosa que no está siendo fácil ya que todos los medios están hablando de ellos.

Hi! Another Creepypasta fan (this time since 2015 holy shit I feel old now)

I grew up with this fandom. I've seen the cringe and I've been it. Please, allow yourself to be it. It will be good for you, it will give you memories to look back on with fondness and joy rather than regret and sorrow. Trust me, as someone who's both been silly and held back from it out of fear at different points in her life, being silly and cringe and free is so so so much better than regretting holding back.

I'm currently writing fanfiction crossing over Creepypasta with the most random other fandoms I can think of, I'm still silly and I don't hold back anymore, and it's so freeing and fun! So, advice from someone who grew up in this fandom, from 12 to 21 and hopefully forever; be yourself. Be as silly as you are. Write fanfictions, draw fanart, make a self insert oc, ship yourself or that oc with Jeff, EJ, Ben, or whoever! Just. Have. Fun!

One day, your silly little self insert will be someone's favorite, just like Nina is my favorite. So go all out, whether they have a Cheshire smile or missing eyes, they're special to you, and someday, someone will love them just as much, and would love to see everything you've written and drawn for your oc 💞

I will FOREVER stand by the opinion that Slenderman is a brilliant horror concept and should be just as successful as FNAF. I know the media thinks Slenderman is old news, not scary, and cringe but that’s only because he aged poorly in the mainstream. The Slenderman movie was the thing that officially killed the chance of Slender to be a successful horror character. Curse you David Birke I’ll never forgive you for that >:(. Back in the early 2000s Slender had that chance, but now he doesn’t. I wish someone in with industry connection and the passion of the creepypasta community had done something with the character, but at last, that did not happen.

I really don't think I'll ever understand what happened with the creepypasta fandom post 2020, why does everyone care about realism now? I understand it's fun to think of these characters as they'd actually be instead of what they are in a fandom sense but just because you enjoy one thing does not mean you have to shit on someone else for enjoying the opposite.

Creativity doesn't have a limit! If you want to draw or enjoy jeff the killer as a 30 or 40 something year old grown man go ahead!!! But don't rain on someone else's parade because they prefer the nostalgia of him being a teenager or in his early 20s and lives at the creepypasta mansion and whatever
