Farewell Landroval

I have moved to Peregrin, not because I wanted to, but because I see the writing on the wall after so much of the population vanished. I had good times on this server, and I will miss it. Like Elendilmir before it, I wish it well. There have been no official announcements regarding closing the 32-bit worlds at the time of writing, but the promise to keep them open was attached to whether or not they have a "healthy population". Landroval was dead silent at the time I left, so that does not bode well.

I'll update all the shit on here when I get to it. Sorry for vanishing for months/years again, as one does. LOTRO and I are like that. ..you know what brought me back though? YET ANOTHER dream about fucking Amdir, reigniting my ranger feelings that will never fully fuck off. u g h. Anyway maybe I'll finally post something soon. If you've moved to Peregrin, say hello!

I probably noticed this years ago, but I totally forgot about the fact that the light at the top of minas morgul slowly rotates back and forth like some kind of creepy lighthouse

I love this aspect of Minas Morgul, personally. It just adds to the eeriness of the area. I suppose its reminiscent of the Eye of Sauron too.

I did a run through Remmorchant the other day looking to clear out some quests (and for a chance at those sweet, sweet cosmetics) and man, I forgot about  Rûkhor’s abysmal fashion sense. Look at this goober wearing a damn cheese grater for a helmet. What the hell dude?

It always really creeped me the hell out the way the Corrupted Soldiers in Udûn walk and behave. It is a really unsettling but accurate way of portraying how Sauron corrupts things - they are physically twisted and lame in their posture, and have the twitchiness in their heads and hands reminiscent of someone/something severely damaged and completely bereft of their previous selves. 

This instance was as sad as it was unnerving. :(
