My strawberry cape is done!🍓
Talking smoke detectors seem like a great idea until its 3 am and a lady's voice starts shouting replace allam and at you to press the button to to temporary delay it.
And this alarm doesn't have a battery to replace it's just the alarm. The button wasn't working by the way. I had to kill the machine.
My love was off learning stuff. They're so busy right now. That said, when I went to my parents house for dinner I had no reason to hurry home. I decided to rummage through the stuff I left at my parents house when I moved out.
I found the best thing. My box of childhood stuffies. I found my two most beloved childhood companions! The first is a build bear white cat I got when I was I think 5 or 6. The second is a dog that my oldest brother gave me because I was sad he was leaving home after he graduated highschool. I was just about to turn 7.
Obviously they live with me again after far too long.
Behold! Clean chicken coop!
I love grabbing a power drill and a circular saw and just building shit. If I had an unlimited wood budget I would never stop making stuff. I should've gone into the trades.
People discussing the difference between sewing and woodworking in the notes. Sewing is for people who want to sit down, and woodworking is for people who want to wear eye protection. Otherwise they are identical.
For this past Mother's Day my family teamed up to buy my mom a pleasant company Josephina. I fixed her up before we gave her to Mom.
She was in really good shape. She was a bit dirty, her hair was really frizzy and dry and her legs were floppy. After an afternoon she looked so much better and can now stand again! I'm also really happy with how her hair turned out.
Etallyn's best friend Tubby has been gone a long time on adventures with my little sister. This is their first time hanging out since Christmas and Etallyn missed him dearly. They've got a lot of catching up to do.
I crocheted this tiny backpack for Tubby today. I think the scale if it turned out great and he's even more prepared for his next adventure.
This is the tiniest crochet project I've done so far. I also tried it on Etallyn because why not and I think it's a good size for her too. I'll probably make her one too even though I already made her a backpack a while ago

I went out to check on my chickens because I do that every night. I make sure 8 chickens have put themselves to bed. Tonight though I found a 9th bird in my coop.
This is a very funny looking chicken. Maybe I'll get a different colored egg or two from them.
My love, @corvidstoneage, has a beloved stuffed lion (Lion A) they were given to help ward of nightmares when they were around 3. I'm sure you can tell which of these two lions he is. A couple years ago my partner's family found a second lion that looks exactly like what Lion A used to look like.
The idea was that Lion B would take over at night protecting my love from nightmares but his mane tickled my loves nose. So I came up with the perfect solution.
Lion footie pajamas with a hood!
Now Lion A can have his very well deserved retirement and Lion B can start his new job.
When Kirsten and her family moved to their new house, Aunt Inger helped make it feel like a home. She sent the Larsons off with kitchenware, food, clothing, and a big carpetbag stuffed full of diapers for baby Britta.
Kirsten unpacked the trunk, the carpetbag, and all the smaller bags Aunt Inger had given to them. She was amazed that everything they needed to start feeling settled could fit inside just a few bags and a trunk.
I finished Kirsten's carpetbag last night, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! The above picture shows it stuffed full with Kirsten's clothes, and the previous two with Kirsten show what it looks like empty. It's a reproduction of the piece that was in her retired collection, part of her winter story set. It's briefly mentioned in the last chapter of Changes for Kirsten.
I constructed it out of a bundle of scraps of carpet that I found at a thrift store for about $2. The faux leather scraps cost even less. I looked at eBay listings to see up-close pictures of how it was constructed, and discovered that there's a lot of variation depending on what year it was produced, which is pretty common for early Pleasant Company products. There's a huge variation in the carpet patterns, and some are lined with black fabric.
The real one is a bit smaller than I wanted, so I made mine bigger. It holds 4 or 5 of Kirsten's dresses!
I cobbled it together without a pattern, just vibes. It's basically a series of rectangles stitched together while I hoped for the best. Then I sewed on the faux leather trimming and handles. The handles are secured onto the bag with stitching and these gold rivet thingies; I have no idea what they are, since they came from my big stash of beads and vintage costume jewelry that was gifted to me a few years ago.
Kirsten's dress, shawl, necklace, and some of her room furnishings were also made by me.
My arm and hand muscles have almost recovered from Excessive Crochet which means that in a few more days I can once again ruin them with more Excessive Crochet
@lottiesagelesslands
I've made this pretty red shawl doll shawl.
I fallowed this pattern
Inspired by the shawl Ma wears throughout the Little House on the Prairie television show, create your own shawl for your American Girl or 1
I didn't initially want to make it in red but it's the only yarn I for sure had enough of though ironically I ran out before I could finish the fancy border. I do actually like how it turned out though.
I initially thought it had a hood but it's just the shawl folded over on itself.
Hiding @lottiesagelesslands half finished sewing projects around the house in case she dies so she has unfinished business and I can hang out with her ghost
That won't be hard there's 4 projects in the first picture and one in the second.
The funniest fucking thing as im trying to do research for Moran
I was cuddling with my love when this post came up. He thought I was legit googling how to become a hit man.
I've started dabbling in stamp carving
Here are my first 4 stamps in order
