With gifts now coming in thick and fast, we just wanted to make sure everyone knows to fill out a gift tag along with their submission.
What does that mean? Well, we're glad you telepathically asked!
When the gifts are released during The Unwrappening, we're all going to need a way to decipher which amazing creator they came from and which gifts belong to whom. That's where the gift tag comes in!
Lifted straight from our Submit page, this is what the tag will look like if you're doing the Gift Swap:

Add a little message if you’d like. Otherwise, you can add a couple of details about your gift, e.g. title, rating.

If you're worried you got it wrong, don't fret! Ren's a bit of a perfectionist, so she'll comb through all the gifts and make sure those tags are looking bright and spiffy before they're unreleased upon the world!

While the Santas are busy making magic, their elves were busy decorating with some of our favourite pieces of enchantment from past years. So they’ve worked overtime to put together the Rewind Showcase: a showcase of past fanfiction, art, craft, and other spells of creativity.
We’ll be reposting one piece a day for you to enjoy (AND remind you of just how long we have left until gifts are due) while we prepare for next month's Unwrappening!

It's time for another Mythical Secret Santa!
This year marks FIVE WHOLE YEARS of this creative mayhem (yep, we can't believe it either), and we're so thrilled to bring this back to the fandom where the two of us met and became friends fawning over our favourite internetainers!
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, we'd like to put the call out to ANYONE AND EVERYONE who enjoys the works our amazing community puts out there! Each year, we ask MBs to pretty please submit suggestions to add to our Fandom Wishlist.
This list consists of a bunch of suggested prompts from fellow MBs that some of our Santas can draw inspiration from and create a mythical masterpiece for the rest of us to enjoy!
With that all said, if you have any ideas - a scenario, a quote, a trope, a character or concept from the Mythical world, literally anything you want to see/read/enjoy - please let us know via our Ask box! And who knows? Your suggestion might be the catalyst for something AMAZING.

This year's MSS is going to work similarly to last year's event, in that we'll be offering two ways to participate:
a Gift Swap option for those who'd like to create and swap gifts with another MB, as well as
the Fandom Wishlist option for those who can't/don't want to commit to making something but would like some inspo if they choose to make something anyway.
There will be a couple key elements along the way to help us make this event run as smoothly as possible:
Midway check-in period - one for our Gift Swappers, we'll be contacting you to ask for an update on the progress of your gift and the likelihood of its completion. In the event that you can't complete your gift, we'll sub in one of our Standby Santas to help fulfil the gift instead. Speaking of...
Standby Santas - open to anyone participating, we'll be putting the call out (via the sign-up form) for any volunteers to assist with any Santa drop-outs we may encounter along the way. By putting your hand up, you're agreeing to potentially working on and completing a second gift for another Gift Swapper.
For those who are new here, there are literally NO LIMITS as to what you can create. Are you a writer? Awesome! Do you compose music? Brilliant! Can you weave elaborate tapestries that tell the story of how Mythical Entertainment came to be? Heck yes! We accept works of all kinds, sizes, and tacts - in fact, we've even had gifts fly across the world to make their way to their giftees! That's how incredible our Santas can be!

Different anon here! I’ve either been very lucky or I have such a small circle here (most likely) that I haven’t ever really seen any fandom drama, but I know it’s out there, and I would certainly feel the same way as you if any of my friends or myself was involved. I know it’s hard when things get upsetting in what is supposed to be your fun escape from real life. It’s always best to take care of yourself and your mental health first, and if some people in a fandom hurt you, I understand staying away. Sometimes I wish I knew who was behind the drama so I could make sure to keep away. I saw you on my dash and wanted to reach out to say thank you for continuing to do the Mythical Secret Santa for us each year even though you aren’t here very often anymore. I’m not an OG member and we have never talked, but I really enjoyed Secret Santa each time I participated. I know it’s a lot of work, and probably especially so for a fandom you’ve mostly faded from. It brought me and others a lot of joy last year especially and I’m looking forward to this year’s if you choose to continue hosting it. So thank you again.

as much as i don't get too involved with the fandom much anymore, i'm being completely honest when i say i love modding MSS. it's a lot of work, sure, and it can be a little taxing for sims and me sometimes - but the pay-off of bringing the community together through creativity and friendship is SO worth it. plus, it's just nice to end the year on such a lovely note.
it makes me so happy to hear it plays the same role for you as it does for me (and sims too).
The fandom is still great. It's mainly a couple people shit stirring and making unfounded accusations.
it's not that i don't believe you, anon! this is 100% a me thing.
there's a reason why it's still going strong (something i rly am happy about). whenever i pop in, i still see all the friendships and enthusiasm and support for the guys. it's really nice to see.
it's just that i always take it to heart even if the drama hasn't got anything to do with me, and if it's directed at a friend, it completely stresses me out trying to defend them or come to terms with whatever they might've done. plus, whatever the drama, it always ends up consuming my world for a bit, and i'd rather not do that to my mental health anymore.
just yeah, the sentiment's true, that a few bad eggs can ruin it for everyone.
