Fluffy jondami thoughts to balance out my other headcanons posts lol and because I need a break from writing these stupid papers
They are always bickering, constantly. But the thing is that they are always looking at each other with heart eyes so you know it’s not that deep for them.
I think both aloof/slightly tsundere!Damian and also loverboy, head-over-heels-and-shouting-it-from-the-rooftops!Damian work, but I think it’s the funniest when Damian thinks he is being the latter when he is actually being the former lol
Damian loves to shower Jon with gifts. Expensive chocolates, the finest clothes, flowers covering every inch of Jon’s office (oh btw I hc that Jon becomes an astrophysicist or an intergalactic historian, that boy loves to research).. Damian’s favourite move is to excuse himself after dinner at a fancy place to “go use the restroom” but secretly go pay (he does not even have to do that, bro (Jon is CLEARLY not paying that bill (Jon is wearing a flannel shirt with a suit jacket))) (Jon is NOT escaping the sugar baby comments)
Jon was a bit uncomfortable with it because he didn’t want Damian “wasting his money” on him, until they were on a secret mission and Damian handed Jon a piece of sea glass that he found on their track. Jon realized that Damian just loves giving gifts and ever since he’s much more comfortable with the gifts.
They are also usually things Jon likes/wants: that new video game everyone is talking about, a hoodie he had been thinking of getting, a nice watch
Jon on the other hand brings Damian “souvenirs” from his travels: pretty pebbles from different planets, carved objects from interstellar markets, sweets from the future
Talking about sweets: Damian has (canonically) a huuuuuge sweet tooth and Jon loves to take him to street markets all over the world for sweet treats. Damian complains that he needs to look out for his sugar intake but he also loves these little adventures
Damian is always stealing Jon’s clothes. And he steals them once they smell a bit like him, so Jon will take off his hoodie and then look for it an hour later and not find it anymore. How did Damian even do that? They’re not even in the same place? Jon facetimes Damian and there he is laying on his couch in Gotham with Jon’s hoodie on.
Jon also likes to steal Damian’s shirts but he has learned that they are a bit too tight and short on him, so he will not wear them to work. He tried one time but not a single soul in that auditorium was paying attention to his lecture on the history of interplanetary trade relations, so yeah.. also Damian gets angry because Jon’s stupid shoulders, biceps and chest stretch out his clothes
I hc that Damian is the clingier and touchier of the two. Jon doesn’t need to touch Damian to feel his presence; it’s in the sound of his heartbeat Jon can tune into at any moment and in the air that is all Damian because Jon’s heightened sense of smell can help him hone into one singular scent. But Damian wants to hold Jon, needs to hold him. Jon’s solar powered heat is just so familiar, it feels like home.
They call each other “pal”, “buddy” and “dude”
But also Jon calls Damian “Dami”, “Dames”, “Honey” (canonically lol), “sweetheart”, “darling”, “baby”, etc.
Damian calls Jon either by his full name or “Beloved” or “my” + a noun: “my heart”, “my breath”, “my life”, “my love”, “my idiot”, etc.
