I think that SO many people didn't reread pjo in their adulthood AND IT SHOWS

like wdym you don't like that they changed things for the show? would you have preferred watching Percy, Anabeth and Grover fight PILLOWS in the first season?? the lack of deepening in all of the enemies (except maybe Luke and Ethan, and even them could have been written better)? absolutely all of the characters being white af? the fact that NONE of the fatal flaws were relevant at the end?

I can understand the discomfort to a certain extent but my god there's so many of you that are just completely blinded by nostalgia

Mmm the villain of the episode is an entitled white lady who called the cops on a bunch of kids, calls them monsters because of an aspect of themselves they can't change that makes them disruptive and dangerous, and hides behind a veneer of being a caring mother. And Annabeth is black. The social commentary is commentarying
