Scott walked to the end of the street where his car was parked and stopped, hearing the quickened heartbeat along with the fast paced footsteps behind him get closer. “It started, Scotty, you know it has, listen to her voice, something is happening in her mind.” Sonya’s voice echoed in his mind, even compelling her wouldn’t help her now and he was to blame, that much he knew. Though it had only just started, he knew soon she’d be in a lot of pain when the memories would come rushing back to her. This was why so far he had stayed out of sight.
“Help her, it’s the only thing you can do now, help her through this Scotty.” The voice sounded again to which Scott turned to face what he had been avoiding for so long. Seeing her face, wet from tears, hearing that desperate. “I’m not leaving.. Soon all will be clear.” He slowly stepped up to her. “I know your name because I know you, kitten. My name is Scott Landenberg and aside from having been your Music teacher, you know me better than anyone and fuck.. I’ve missed you. I am so sorry, you weren’t supposed to see me..” Scott said in a soft tone as he cupped her cheeks, making her look at him. Every little bit of information would bring back memories, like locks in her mind, getting unlocked one by one and one of those locks would be hiding the bad things she had endured as well which would be a lot to take. He noticed some people up ahead were staring. With the pain she would have to endure, this was not the place to do it.
So his arms locked around her in a protective hug, he still couldn’t bare to see her cry, even after all this time. Scott had to focus as now that he had her close, her scent was almost getting the best of him. So he lifted her up in his arms. “Everything will be ok, I promise you, but I need you to trust me right now.” Even if he didn’t trust himself much right now, he had to get her away from there so he carried her to the passenger seat of his Jeep to lift her into it. Maybe it was a little impulsive and she might fight him, but he wouldn’t give her a choice, they had to get out of there. The plan was to go back to the motel on the other side of town so as soon as he had strapped her in, he got in behind the wheel to head there, hoping people wouldn’t think he was kidnapping her, though in a way he was. “We’re almost there, just hang in there.” He had told her everything would be clear soon and it truly would be but it wasn’t going to be pleasant for her. Scott parked in front of the motel and moved fast, maybe a little too fast as he accidentally used a bit of his enhanced speed getting to the passenger door to lift her right back out and get her inside. “I know this seems crazy, but I meant what I said, everything will be ok.” He said as he kicked open the door of his room to sit her down on his bed, squatting in front of her. “Look at me, kitten, you’re in for one hell of a ride.” He said as he held her hands in his own, though she probably didn’t understand yet what was happening, soon she surely would.
Daisy continued to race after him. Tears threatened to blind her, desperation and determination in every pounding step. She would not let him get away again. Before, she hadn’t had any choice. But now she did. That thought struck her with startling clarity, as she called after him once again. “Please Mister! Please! I need to know!” He did stop then and so did she, chest heaving as she caught her breath, but still perched on the tips of her toes in case she had to chase after him again. But she wouldn’t. When he said he wasn’t leaving, Daisy believed him, shoulders sagging in a relief that nearly brought her to her knees.
Kitten... That single word released a fresh wave of emotions, laughter now mingling with her sobs as she was brought to near hysteria. The witch tried to calm herself, as she clung to words that her heart told her she could trust. It would be okay because he told her it would. This man, this Scott, had and would never steer her wrong. She had put her trust, and her heart, in his hands once before hadn’t she? And he had treated it and her with all of the tenderness that was deserved. He left..but it hadn’t been his fault.. All of this Daisy already knew in her heart before her gaze was forced to meet his, and then there was only fear. And pain. Of the physical and emotional kind, as all that she had endured on that island was suddenly unleashed in her mind. “What’s..what’s happening?” She cried, gripping him tightly as strong arms finally came around her. She had missed him too, but Daisy could no longer put any thoughts or feelings into words. All she could do was nod and put her trust in this non-stranger, going limp as she was placed in a car. If she were smarter, she would have fought who could possibly be a kidnapper. But no..that wasn’t Scott. Her Scott. She had nothing to fear, from him at least.
Soft moans started leaving her during the short drive. Moans of pure fear and heartache. Reaching over, Daisy gripped at his arm, knowing his touch would steady her. It did, but she was still all but catatonic as she was once again lifted as if she were weightless, this time carried into a simple motel room. Her knees gave out on her as she was sat on the edge of a bed, wide frightened eyes meeting Scott’s even before she was gently commanded to do so. And oh..that face! How she had missed it. Daisy barely had time to marvel at his ethereal beauty, as those doors in her mind began to open more fully. Her willowy body shook from head to toe as memories, more and more clear, flashed through her mind like scenes from a movie. But it wasn’t a movie..it had been her life.
Arriving on an island. Her wand taken from her, her powers bound. A collar of stiff leather placed around her neck. Trying to still be optimistic and make the best of things, even after she had been given the shocking news that she was..a slave. Spells. Punishments. Fear. Loss. Love.. It was all too much for Daisy, as the witch finally let out a soul-shattering wail, tearing her hands from Scott’s to grip her head.
