i exchanged tapes with Inca Orca a few days ago. yesterday night i listened to it in bed and it just blew my mind. one of the best tapes i heard in a very long time. check him out! It doesn’t get much better than that.

"Retenir" // Brian McBride // When The Detail Lost Its Freedom.

McBride obviously has a pretty significant influence on the Stars of the Lid sound by the looks of this record; only just had a chance to finally get round to it and it’s a solid listen. Recommended.

Back in April, a test pressing of an unreleased 1994 Aphex Twin album called Caustic Window surfaced online. It was originally listed for sale for $13,5000 on Discogs, but before it was sold, a Kickstarter was launched where fans could pay for a digital copy of the album. The Kickstarter was funded in May, raising $67,424. Today, the Kickstarter supporters received their digital copies. The music has also been uploaded to Youtube. You can listen to it below via Revolt.

Additionally, the test pressing of Caustic Window is now being auctioned on eBay.
