Chapter #04 - Hunger

The water had kept the fox alive and well, but hunger started to catch up. The fox its belly growled and rumbled. It didn't matter how much water the fox drank, its belly objected loudly. Having learned that water satisfied its belly a while, it came to the conclusion it needed something else. The sand and stones fell instinctively wrong to eat. The green foliage on the ruins seemed better. So the fox ran of to the nearest ruins and took a bite.

Chapter #03 - Sensations

As the fox walked around it gazed the landscape. It was looking around for anything useful against the cold that would surely return this night when the sun hid behind the hills again. But the fox did not known much about the world. The hills at the horizon seemed endless. The fox felt it could not make it to the horizon before nightfall. Instead it played with warm stones, but they were tiny. It saw small ruins scattered about with small places to hide. Nothing really felt useful to the fox.

Many years slowly passed since the passing of the old priest. The fox statue had fallen in decay, vines grew upwards doing their best to hide anything it touched. Cracks had been growing in the statues surface. It gave an impression it would collapse from any gust of wind were it not for the vines.
