for something that was going to probably be quite painful considering the spiced sauce that was regularly the condiment of choice, chara was extremely excited to get this sauce battle started. they just had to grab some sauce... chara was sure that pap would have some in his kitchen somewhere.

You stay silent as you hug Chara, tears welling up in your eyes. You tried to do everything to stop them from falling. You had to stay strong now, not make things worse. But, at the words, you couldn’t help but let them fall down your cheeks. The idea of the other apologizing for something as simple as crying… It hurt.

their tears ran down their face, and if chara happened to not be incorporeal they would have surely soaked frisk’s sweater by now. a hand reached up to wipe the tears, then lowered to wrap both arms entirely around frisk in a return hug of sorts.

You look at your spectral friend and narrator, a frown making its way onto your features. For some reason, they seemed sad, and in turn it made you sad as well. So, you did the best thing you can imagine, and wrap your arms around them. You didn’t want them to be sad. They deserve much better.

they say nothing when frisk wraps their arms around them, their mind stuck on the thought that had provoked their sadness in the first place. the thought that no one cared. chara just accepts the hug, the tears that had welled up in chara’s eyes finally accepting their fate and rolling down their face. silence is all that remained aside from the sniffles that escaped from chara every so often. frisk shouldn’t have to be dealing with me right now, chara thought. i’m just being pathetic.
