I love all books but sometimes you read a book and you’re like so were all 21 thousand of you blindfolded and at gun point when you rated it 5 stars
goodreads ratings are actually “on a scale of 1 to 5, how likeable did you find the main character?”

Yeah this is honestly a wild swing. US-Canada government interactions have mostly been boring and uncontroversial for the past half-century largely because US public opinions of Canada haven't been subject to big partisan differences, and so the huge swings in foreign policy from one administration to the next haven't affected the way the US government relates to Canada. Now that's changing, and a lot of the boring administrative stuff that happens between countries (like a new border crossing bridge between Windsor and Detroit) is going to become fully politicized on the US side, and I don't think either government is really ready for that future.

Heard a car horn today that was tuned to a fifth. Fucked up, kinda delightful
I want people to understand how jarring this was. Most car horns are either a single tone or two tones somewhere in the neighborhood of a minor third apart:
Pretty normal rush hour sounds, yeah? But this thing sounded something like this:
Fucked up! Didn't even realize it was a car horn at first, I didn't know what the fuck it was! It was weird as hell!

no but "He's on a work trip with Jesus to afford your blueberry budget" is so fucking bad
work trip -> she's gonna think he's coming back
YOUR blueberry budget -> puts the blame on her even if that isn't what you intended
your BLUEBERRY budget -> what if she just stops eating because she thinks that will being her dad back? bc girls growing up in the usa don't already have enough of a complex around food i guess
your blueberry BUDGET -> teach your kid early to minimize herself and her needs by associating her favorite healthy food with her dad dying and leaving forever
congrats that's the worst anyone's ever done it
great question! its what Charlie Kirk's widow told their 3yo daughter
