Have we all talked about the fact that Vessel uses the ocean over and over again as a metaphor for negative emotions? His nightmares, “flood me like Atlantic”, “plucked me from the grotto”, walking into the ocean in the Fall for Me MV, like all of Tomb, etc.

BUT LIKE. He named himself VESSEL. Which is another word for boat. Which, typically, in the best of times, is a thing that floats on a body of water and navigates it.

Is this on purpose? Am I having a Big Brained moment or am I the last person on the metaphorical boat, as it were? Thoughts?
