“Oh? I’m sorry miss, but the restaurant is closing down for the night. If you were wanting coffee, you might have to try the cafe that’s just down the road.”

“Is it? I guess I’ll get some food at Junes then.” Nanako frowned some as she wanted to surprise her father and big bro with something nice than instant food. before she stopped, wait wasn’t that him speaking to her. “Ummm, big bro?”

“Oh, hey Nanako-chan…” he returned the smile shifting a bit nervously as he always seemed to do when interacting with others. “Ah yeah, I have. How about you? Keeping busy with school?”

Keeping the bright smile she nodded her before before letting it fade at the mention of school. “Yeah schools okay, it’d midterms so I’ve been trying to get by.” She spoke before tilting her head. “What about you Adachi-san? You haven’t stopped by in a while, hopefully dad isn’t making you run more busy than normal.”

“Yeah, it was solved… Oh gosh, around six months ago? Maybe seven?” Had it really been that long? A lot had happened in between, but it was still crazy to think about.

She did mention the tvs, so Yosuke felt it was safe to ask his next question without any negative side effects; are paradoxes a thing? “So, um, about going inside the tvs… Did you ever go in yourself?”

She was surprised at how much of a gap the cases had ended for his world. Wanting to ask if the person behind it all had a actual sentence than her father not telling her still really the details of what happened. Even though she and her friends were the one to catch him. 

Hearing him mention the use of going inside of the television Nanako nodded. “Yes, that’s how I helped big bro and everyone stop the events, and how I got my persona.” She spoke. “I’m sure it was the same for you?”

“Ah big bro!” Nanako spoke running up to him before allowing herself to beam her normal smile up at him. “I didn’t have to work today, so I thought we could hang out. Is that alright?”

“O-ohh Adachi hello there!” Nanako gave a kind smile to her fathers partner. “I hope that you’ve been doing well.”

Yosuke nodded at her words. “Yeah! Makes me wonder just how many different versions of us there are, and just how diverse they are.” Which, he was curious about this Nanako’s experiences. What was different, other than her age?

“I’m curious; has the mass murder case been solved for you?” Are you apart of the team? “I’m just tryin’ to sort out where we differ, ya know?”

“I’m glad we feel the same!” She spoke excited as a smile started to grow on her face. This was something that was starting to interest the teen more and wanted to even maybe if fate would let her, meet more people from different time lines.

“Murders, You mean about the people going inside of the TV right?” Nanako started making sure they were talking about the same thing. “Yeah the case has been solved for about a month now. Is it over for you guys?” Nanako soon allowing herself to ask the question back at him.

Oh, so it seems this Nanako was as new to all this hopping as he was. “My Nanako is a lot younger than you are. I don’t really know what’s up, but I think different timelines have been crossing each other.” Was he even in his own Inaba right now? All this is starting to give him a headache; he hasn’t even been given a proper explanation yet.

“I’m not really sure how any of this is happening; all I know is that I’ve ran into another me, and now I’ve met you.” That probably came off as rude. “N-not that it’s a bad thing! Which, it isn’t at all; it’s pretty neat.”

“I’m younger?” I see.” Nanako lightly spoke. Though she was obviously as confused as the male in front of her. This was a first, timeline jumping was it? She didn’t know that was a thing, though with what she had seen this year Nanako wouldn’t doubt it could happen. 

“I’m not sure either, your the first I’ve ran into.” She admitted before letting out a laugh at his words. He still at least seemed the same Yosuke from her time. “It’s okay Yosuke, I think it’s neat too. To know there are other people who are in way just like my dear friends.”

“Wait, Nanako? Oh wow, it is you isn’t it!” Well, this was at least easier to take in than seeing another him. Guess jumping timelines is a normal thing nowadays.

“You’ve certainly grown.”

“Grown, what do you mean? And of course it’s me.” Nanako spoke, showing confusion in her voice. This was the Yosuke that she and her cousin had become friends with and attended school with right?
