Post bad end. When Adachi takes a new job “overseas” he decides to go to Ikebukero since he spent so much time talking to Nakura-chan (Izaya) online. There he still works as a detective but as always is up to some mischief on the side. Since he’s in the police force it helps Izaya to have an inside person to get direct information from, not that he really needs it. Izaya is fine on his own, but wanted to give Tou-chan something to do.

Adachi only really knows Izaya , Shizuo , Shinra, & Namie. 

Since Adachi is so close to Izaya, when he first moves to Ikebukero he asks if he can stay with him & Namie ‘until he can find a place’ but really he just wants to stay with the both of them.
