Imagine if Matthew caught onto Kevin and Joseph's feelings for each other before their selection in the experiments.

Here comes the past situationship Matthew had and he worries that'll happen with Kevin and Joseph. Sometimes asks Kevin how things are going along with Joseph, to reassure himself there won't be a repetition.

matthew would def be their biggest supporter and give them advice so he hopes that they won't end up like him and [REDACTED]. eventually, matthew probably never saw them understand eachother's feelings for eachother before kevin and matthew got put together for project doey. kevin also vents to matthew on how much he misses joseph and wished he told him everything before getting selected.

matthew knew that if kevin had told him, it would've went well. but for matthew with [REDACTED], it went far worse than he could imagine. his own experiences helped him comfort and support kevin as always.
