thinking about how dandelions are the first flowers kids bring their mothers. how they’re just a weed, but in such a small fist, presented with such a proud grin, they become a bouquet. it’s a sweet, thoughtful thing to any mother.

Total fucking madness that we let fast food joints sell us this little-ass hash brown patties for three fucking bucks. They're making like ten, maybe twelve dollars per fucking individual potato. Jack in the box wants $3.29, nutritional info pegs their hash brown at 64g. Just with a Google search, a potato will weigh anywhere between 140-285g. They're making $7.19-$14.64 per fucking potato. And I figure they're using the largest they can get, and potatoes are fucking cheap dude. And let's say they're paying the same price we do for potatoes, like 4 bucks for 5 pounds. Same serving size. They're making that into $116 fucking dollars. They're making fucking fried potatoes --delicious, broke slop-- into an expensive treat, a luxury. What goddamn horseshit. When is it enough? When are you going to just let loose? Can you really keep living like this?

there is so much more to be said here but peeta's biggest flaw is his strength and kill me if you want but if you really think about it he's an extremely closed of person. and much more than katniss! when do we see him actually opening up to people - the only time he gets taken care of is when he's physically not well and needs help literally. ,,most of my nightmares are about you so i'm okay once i realize you're there” is sure a sweet and romantic quote but i see so much sadness in it. he doesn't want to be a burden. he doesn't know how to be comforted because maybe no one was to there to help him after a bad dream when he was a kid - completely unlike katniss's experience. and what about those dreams that aren't about katniss. she retells her nightmares to peeta and he locks them all inside of himself.

Okay yes???? I really like this take??? I think it also totally manifests in the way he closes off from Katniss after the Games, and Katniss even comments on him having this really deep inner world when they’re working on the plant book. He is very internal! ... which I imagine comes from his family situation, stuffing it down. Maybe that’s why they had so much “material” for the hijacking. Oof. I am sad now. Katniss, help your man open up, okay? He needs it. I do think he’s more open around her, which is lovely, but he will still need some help, especially post-war, with his flashbacks and all. As if he wasn’t already in his head too much.
