initially, Jane’s confused because he’s a cat person?? and he likes camping?? and they don’t always agree on everything?? like how can this guy be her soulmate

and they love each other and they date a while but both are like “yes let’s wait to get married because I want to fall in love with you for you and not because the universe demands it”

struggling  to keep Jane’s virginity because on one hand her promise to alba, but on the other they are meant to be???

then they get engaged but jane gets artificially inseminated and then it’s suddenly all up in the air???

because of all the coincidences in her and Rafael’s life and she’s just confused like maybe God got it wrong?

and suddenly Michael doesn’t ~FEEL~ like her soulmate anymore and the events of the whole first season happen

but then of course trouble strikes the j@fael ship and jane realizes that love is based off more than just feeling

and then the second season happens and jane and Michael get married and everything is happy and wonderful !!!

ok let’s say Michael dies and Jane’s just wondering wtf this all means. does she only have one soulmate? why would God do this h if he was just going to take Michael away? etc etc

and after she moves on with her grief she dates all these other guys and she gets along pretty well with some of them, but she still only has that one soulmate tattoo and that CONFUSES the heck out of her

and idk what is a soulmate? people can come and build homes in your heart, but maybe a soulmate is that one person who goes to a level deeper than that

maybe it’s not the one person that you are destined to marry and grow old with, but the one person’s whose very presence changes your life, completely redefines your worldview, creates that before/after

after all how many great ~soulmates~ in literature don’t end up together? 

and no matter what happens, Michael and jane will always be each other’s soulmates.
