Netflix Reboots ‘Carmen Sandiego’ With Gina Rodriguez

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? She’s headed to Netflix.

The streaming giant is rebooting the popular children’s computer game franchise from the '80s with an animated series surrounding the titular character, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Netflix has ordered twenty 22-minute episodes of Carmen Sandiego, which is set to premiere in 2019.

I stopped watching Jane the virgin after Michael died 😝 do you still watch ? Is it good?

I might catch up with the show once it’s put on Netflix, but I haven’t watched any episode since Chapter 55 (the episode right after Michael died) for various reasons. 

They replaced Aiden Fernandes with a child actor who I’m fairly certain is WHITE (Joseph Sanders) and that’s frustrating. Why did Mateo suddenly get three shades lighter in three years? It makes no sense, and it’s quite frankly irritating that they took a role away from a brown child to give to a white child.

The narrative disrespect of Michael’s death (Rafael being the one to hold Jane when Michael died when her FAMILY should’ve been there when she got the news, the three year time jump, Jane saying “You’re kind of my best friend” to Rafael, Rafael just hanging around like a roach that won’t die, etc.).

The imminent return of Jane/Rafael. From what I’ve heard it’s coming, and I didn’t enjoy any of their scenes in season one, and seeing them now in season three so soon after Michael’s death isn’t going to make me like them any more.

I felt very disconnected to the show because of the time jump. All the characters felt foreign to me; I didn’t care about them or their meaningless problems.
