T A N G L E // An activity and installation devised with researchers from the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL - an activity designed to represent how scientists gather the threads of people’s lives and weave them together to answer research questions. More than 600 people answered questions on variables such as memory and health behaviours and made their own life course out of strands of coloured fabric.

Brilliant ‘Painting with Patchwork’ workshop I held as a part of Peckham Craft Weekend. Made some beautiful pictorial patchworks, had some very interesting chats and met a lovely group of ladies
Summer Science Fair at the Royal Society. Knitting blood vessels to populate our hand sewn lungs!!!
My favourite Christmas commission - Hand dyed navy and pink up cycled linens with vintage Liberty’s silk from the 1960s (the bright poppy red!).
Wrapped and ready to go with individual water colour labelling and dating the textiles origins.
Completed and quilted Athens patchworks, hanging next to the blossoming quince plant. Each piece is hand sewn, in recycled and hand dyed linens and cottons. (Hand dyed in my tiny little dye garden in Kolonaki, Athens.) For sale in This Way Up, Stroud. Similar pieces are available in commission.

Last years collaboration with Imperial College. ‘MicroBiome Home’ -an interative installation inspired by the fact that our lungs are home to an entire microbial ecosystem living in the nooks are crannies of our airways!
The audience populated the Microbiome Home by each designing and printing a unique microbial species.
A recent commission, hand dyed and sewn in cottons and linens, completed to be given as a wedding gift!!!
