Honey this hair, these legs and these pumps had me feeling like Tina Turner. Also this was inspired by Valentino fw 2023. More on that tomorrow I suppose.

Happy belated birthday, fashion princess!
Thank you❤️
LOOK 065
The first look from MARIPOSA. I wanted this look to feel skeletal, ceremonial, and strangely beautiful.
The ribcage was covered in pearls by hand, sitting under a corset that feels both protective and restrictive. Beneath it, the skirt dissolves into long ivory fibers that feel like hair, feathers, roots, or spirit.
What I love most is the contrast between hard and soft. Bone against satin. Structure against movement. Mortality against something eternal.
In many ways, this look isn’t really about death. It’s about the moment right before rebirth.

Yesterday I turned another year older.
I spent the day thinking about all the versions of myself that had to disappear so this one could exist.
The fearful girl. The people-pleaser. The version that made herself smaller. The version that waited for permission.
This look is the opening scene of MARIPOSA.
Decay. Transform. Rebirth.
Sitting on top of the world 💚💚
MARIPOSA means so much to me because I’m learning how to grieve. Not only the dead but the living too. Not only those I’ve loved and lost but versions of myself I’ve loved and lost too. Grief is the final act of love. And love will always give room for growth.

Sometimes the most interesting thing you can do is commit to one color.
The entire outfit sits in different shades of burgundy, but because the materials change, lace, corduroy, worn leather, gold jewelry, it never feels flat. The tailoring gives it structure while the lingerie peeking through softens everything.
I love when an outfit feels a little contradictory.

Was feeling like super unc in this one. Want these pants tailored so I can wear this outfit in real life

I’ve been really into layering lately, especially when it creates little optical illusions within the outfit.
This is actually two tops and two skirts layered together. I liked the idea of building dimension while still keeping the overall look minimal and easy. The olive skirt softens the black underneath, while the jagged hem peeking through makes the silhouette feel slightly undone.
The tiny lace details and cross chain keep it feeling delicate, but the darker palette stops it from becoming overly sweet. Kind of romantic in a tired, worn-in way.

She’s so simple yet so layeredddd (actually since I layered two tops and two skirts). I loved this one down. I fear the digital perspective of this outfit is not doing enough for me. But it will do.
