When people out here crucifying Azriel for apparently only lusting after Elain....

But Feyre literally out here telling Rhys she only wants something fun

Nesta out here fucking Cassian just to get him to shut up ...

Like quit acting like lust isn't a huge part of all of SJMs couples

So... Cassian saying Nesta shouldn't scry is seen as protective and romantic....

But Azriel saying Elain shouldn't scry (reminder: she was taken by the cauldron the last time and he was the one who saved her) ....

That's infantilizing her? Thats him not respecting her power??

Stfu 🙄 these moments happen not even a few sentences apart, but people have such double standards they can't even acknowledge the parallel

The ELs/tamlains: .... Elain is not meant to be in the NC bc she looks bad in black. And she asked for sunlight once.

Things I have noticed that make a Gwynriel very angry:

Whenever they make a claim (e.g. Gwyn is Azriel's mate), ask them where in the book this happened.

When you point out Azriel's shadows react to everyone and when they retreat, it's when he's happy and with people he loves

When you ask them to show you where Gwyn shows interest in Azriel

When you show them in the book the exact sentence where Gwyn blushed at Rhysand

When you say the necklace was bought with Elain in mind

When you tell them even Amren and Mor are more likely to get a POV than Gwyn

For literal YEARS the ELs have been like

"SJM is a fated mates author she would NEVER break up a pair of fated mates"

"Fated mates are endgame"

"Elriel will never work since Elucien are mates"

And now that SJM keeps talking about rejecting bonds and exploring free will and "what if the cauldron chose wrong"... now their arguments have changed. Now it's

"Oh well it could be an amazing story if Elain rejected the bond and still found her way back to Lucien"

Yeah, so honestly, I'd rather have an Elucien book than read a story where Elain rejects a bond and then goes back to Lucien. It's devaluing a mating bond if you're going to reject it and still get together??? What the hell would that add to the story?? It's giving married couples who divorce and get back together. Why are you wasting my time people???

Anyway - you know what hasn't changed? The Elriel argument. Everything is rooted in canon, logic, text (in context) and backed by SJM's own words. We don't need to come up with alternative theories to shove a square peg into a round hole.

Like yes if the next book is Vassien, it basically confirms Elriel.

But also - I DIDNT WAIT 7 YEARS TO READ LUCIENS POV 😭

Literally only reason I would've accepted a Lucien POV is if it were Elucien. I would be devastated, but I would read an Elucien book bc Elain.

But now if ACOTAR 6 is a vassein book that means I have to wait another YEAR for Elriel to come home??? KMS

Idk why it's so hard for people to accept that Elain killed the king of Hybern.

Nesta was unable to get up. Elain stepped in and stabbed the KOH in the neck. That is a killing blow, it's not like she stabbed his leg or hand.

THEN Nesta got up and sawed his head off.

Nesta sawing his head off is the equivalent of an enraged person stabbing a body 37 times. The body was dead at the first fatal stab. The rest of it was an act of violence/revenge/anger/hatred.

Like damn, who hurt yall?? That you think every quiet, pretty, kind girl has to have some spiteful, internal monologue full of hatred??

Some people are genuinely kind and don't like being the center of attention, and are polite and aren't secretly plotting your downfall??

Like I'm sure there is so much to Elain we have yet to discover, I'm sure even she's fed up with the "sweet Archeron" allegations -

But she's not suddenly gonna pop out and be amarantha 2.0 yall. A character can be kind and quiet without harboring some deep nasty cruel heart.

When there's a cute Elriel TikTok but all the comments are full of Gwynriels, "Elain belongs with Tamlin bc she loves flowers!", 🦊, or the wildest "Azriel and Mor have more evidence for endgame than Elriel"

SJM going on multiple interviews to hint at "what if nature chose wrong" and people STILL thinking she's talking about mf helion and LOA or goddamn Mor & Eris like???

This is what peak denial literally sounds like.

Them being the same girls who literally claimed to have depression when 1D broke up, btw. Or screamed at their friends that they can't make a bday party bc "they're going through a lot rn"

The whole womb and Illyrian anatomy argument is icky. But I really don't get how it proves Gwynriel either because GWYN ISNT ILLYRIAN. She don't have the anatomy either??

Yall are acting like SJM said "And Gwyn had nice Illyrian-like hips, perfect for childbirth!"

When the text is literally talking about training, and Gwyn being good at training, and then Gwyn saying shes flexible and gets it from her momma or whatever.

And these people took it and RAN with it. Even though the logic they're using is essentially if someone was like:

"Wow. You're really good at cheerleading."

"Thanks, my mom was a cheerleader and super flexible too."

"Yeah yeah - YK WHAT - you must be great with childbirth! If you have a baby in breech, I'm sure you'll be okay because you have flexible hips!"

Like please guys can we just... be more logical... ok...? Please?

The EL/GAs: "I have proof on Elucien and Gwynriel being endgame"

And it's literally just the 2016 Facebook screenshot, a comment about how Elain didn't good in a black dress taken out of context, something about needing sunlight, and some extremely misogynistic babbling about how elain doesn't have the anatomy to bear Illyrian children
