Just a thot...AU where Raphael only speaks Spanish but everything else is the same, and only Simon and Magnus (and maybe Izzy) can understand him, just wanted to know your thots on this (maybe you could write something Idk)
First of all, thank you for asking me this question as it really is an interesting question.
As someone whosefirst language isn't English, I can see how your idea has potential.
If people who onlyspeak English don't get it, imagine it's like creating some sort of secretlanguage, it creates/deepens the bond between people.
So of course, ifit's someone you ship with Raphael, it deepens their bond, because they'reabout the only one that can actually understand him and talk to him.
But the thing thatmakes it a bit more complicated is that he is very old, has lived in New Yorkfor who knows how many years (I'm currently too lazy to look it up, sorry), andhe's the leader of the vampire clan, so it would be difficult for him to onlyspeak Spanish, and a bit absurd he didn't pick anything up over the years.
What would be aninteresting idea (or at least in my head), would be someone you ship him withspeaks Spanish, and have like some small inside jokes and things like that inSpanish, with them the only 2 that understands them (besides then maybe Simon,Magnus and Izzy). It could be something that becomes like a default for the 2,and it's like some sort of secret language for them, which drives other peoplecrazy, because why are they constantly speaking in Spanish and what are theylaughing about?

I was planning to write something like this (more similar to my idea, the Spanish speaking thing and inside jokes and all), but as of right now, I don’t know when that will be.
