here the thing we only have one life and we have to take chances for things that we want to do but to afraid because it might not go the way we want it to go. like telling you crush you like them or doing something that you would never do. look I'm not saying that you should jump off airplanes unless you really want to. but you should never be afraid to do something that you really want to do, because time waits for no one.
As a black woman I personally never went through a lot, but as a woman I have went through shit. (I know not all men are like this) why do some men think it’s ok to catcall a girl and when she does not give you the respond you want you call her a bitch or something else. do you really think a woman would be attracted to a man to sexualized her and degraded her at the same time. I've gotten random guys staring are my but, and if I have and if I stand up to myself I am that girl or I must be on my period. It’s not even a new thing woman have been pus h down for centuries. Woman weren't allowed to vote until 1920, until 1960 woman were not allowed to work. Though out the years woman have always been over sexualized or under-appreciated by men. the worst thing about it is that woman don't always bring each other up whether you're a black, white, asian, Latina, or any other race we always talk bad about other woman especially celebrities young girls learn from them and we see woman in the media are always having “beef” for the dumbest reason. I think all woman should just be respectful of all woman no matter what.

The Newer Me
so, school just started for most of us. I don't love school but because it is my first year of college, I decided no more bullshiting. This year is going to be the new me. not like when you start a new year and you say your going to work out so you can get that “summer body” but you give you on the first week, I don't mean like that. I mean I'm going to try to be active in my school, because to be honest with you I hated high school not because of the people, even though most times it is, but it’s because I did not join anything. I know some or most of you are like me, you want to be an active, fun person but you might be to afraid or lazy to do stuff. Well here’s a challenge for you and me before next Wednesday do something that you were afraid, lazy or do not want to do, like telling you crush you like them, or getting good grades, over even making someone smile. I will you up dated on me and hope you do the same.

why are people afraid to be themselves? I know it’s means you that your putting all of you out there and you might get hurt by not being accepted, but here's the thing its ok. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable with friends, loved ones and even people your getting to know can lead to you missing out on deep personal connections. in order to be vulnerable, you have to be okay with all of you. so if you are shy or scared show people who you are, this is for you. I dare you to tell something they never know about you, and I does not have to be a big thing.
