NHK Reveals their Lineup for This Year's Kouhaku Uta Gassen!!

Since 1951, NHK's Kouhaku Uta Gassen, or Kouhaku is an annually broadcasted TV show held on New Year's Eve. It is a strictly invitation only event, where artists are split into two teams: either red for female artists (or groups with female vocals), or white for male artists (or groups with male vocals) and from that point onwards vie for the audience and judges' favour through a set performance.

For this year's (64th) incarnation, it will be hosted by NHK Announcer Miyuko Udo, Arashi for the white team and Haruka Ayase for the red team. It is scheduled to start from 19:15 [JST] and will run for 4 hours. NHK has released the names of artists invited to their show (with the amount of total appearances appearing in brackets):
