Prompt: Things you said when you were drunk
You were on about the sixth drink of the night, which was a lot for you at the time because you were a light weight. He, however, was on his tenth and starting to feel a bit drunk as well.
He looked at you and started laughing. Curious as to what was so funny you looked at him and said, “why are you laughing at me?”
“I’m not laughing at you! You make me so happy I want to laugh because I am not sure if it is real!” What he said didn’t really make sense to you but you went along with it.
As you started laughing you explained, “I am laughing because I like you laugh!”
At this point, it became a contest, “well I am smiling so big because I find you to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen!”
You smiled big, “and I am smiling because you are the nicest dwarf to ever be created!”
“Well I am…” He had to think for a moment, “In love with you because you are the one I wish to end up with!”
That sobered you up pretty quick, but you didn’t want to ruin his fun so you said, with a huge grin, “I am in love with you because you are the most adorable and kindest soul I have ever met.”
He chuckled happily and drank another. Then he grinned wide at you again, “Well I want to marry you because I think you would be the best mother!” His declare was so honest you weren’t sure if he was actually drunk anymore.
“And I want to marry you because you are the one I wish to spend the rest of my life with.” You told him softly.
“This game is fun, but you win because I don’t know what else to say!” Kili’s cheeks were completely red and you couldn’t tell if it was from the drinking or if he was actually blushing.
Thorin called out that it was time for bed because it was an early morning the next day and everyone headed to their spot to sleep. Kili took one last drink, looked at you and grinned wide.
“Promise me something!” He held out a stone he had carved himself.
You looked at it then took it, understanding that it was something special to him, “anything you want.”
“Marry me when everything is over?” He tilted his head a bit but didn’t wait for your answer and went off to bed.
You stared in disbelief, then stood there half the night wondering if he was serious. After sleep took over and you awoke the next morning still sitting at one of the tables you went to find Kili. When you found him in a group with the others talking about the stupid games they played you wondered if he had remembered anything. Instead of asking you stood there listening to everyone else’s stories. Kili never brought his up, so you kept quiet and followed along when the group decided to leave. Little did you know, Kili remembered everything and planned on holding you to the promise you had made.
