Reasons why I get a very tiny panic attack when anyone mentions Prom

1.) Prom is supposed to be a good night for people, a memory. But I have the worst feeling in my gut when I think about it. 2.) I love myself, but that doesn't mean I don't hate how I look sometimes. Prom dresses are often tight around the stomach area. 3.) I've had one relationship in my entire life, and the girl broke up with me a week later. If I go to prom, I'd like a date that isn't my best friend. (especially since she usually finds a boyfriend or date right before most events) 4.) I'm not able to pay for a dress. Two of my close friends have offered to help me pay, but I don't like it when friends pay for something that expensive. I also would rather not ask my parents to pay for it either. 5.) I can't wear heels. Not because I don't like them, it's physically impossible for me to. I was born with club foot, a birth defect that causes one or both feet to be turnt inwards at any degree. My foot is small, can't extend far, and the leg seems shorter than the other. 6.) It just scares me? I have no clue why, but the feeling is not fun.

The thing I like most about my school is the library and the librarians. They get LGBT+ books and books with heavy/dark themes because, and I quote, "Someone might need that kind of story". Theres such a wide selection of books at my school, there's something for everyone (including otakus, comic book fans and the person who prefers audiobooks/ebooks to real books).
