“Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.”
— Pema Chodron
“You will never be completely at home again because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.”
— Miriam Adeney
i know people always insist that if an actor changes their hairstyle or appearance or whatever halfway through filming a show then the show should give a legitimate in universe explanation for it but honestly thats nonsense like the funniest thing parks and rec has ever done was that bit in s6 where andy “goes to london” for 6 months and magically comes back with a six pack and blond highlights and the only explanation he gives is “I stopped drinking beer”

working with children is a wild fucking experience yall. this morning at work one of our second graders got my attention and was like “you know what word my mom told me not to say? PUSSY.” and i was like “then why did you just say it??” and she went “i dunno” and then dabbed
That time i read a theory that frozen was set in the 1840s and i was like: elsa’s icy meltdown it’s the reason why the franklin expedition encountered unexpectedly cold winters and summers in the arctic

I like beginnings because they’re so full of promise. The first page of a book, the first day of a job, the first time you buy yourself flowers, the first date with a new man, the first touch, the first kiss, the first kick of a good liquor, the first moment you hold your own baby. I like beginnings because I know there’s always more to come.
