Daeron was like a son to Gwayne—more his son than Viserys's; the way he addresses him and speaks with such pain in his words is truly moving.

I have a sinking feeling that this will be the last time we see Daeron and Gwayne sharing such a close bond. It was good while it lasted; both of them definitely shone this season. Their dynamic was the best among the Hightowers—and Team Green in general—and even if we don't see them together anymore, it was fantastic.

The fact that Gwayne Hightower is officially gay is huge news—just one more thing for Ormund to stew over today, as he’s already running out of ways to make life miserable for Daeron and Gwayne. And speaking of that, did you see how he reacted when those men came to attack them? Aside from being unhinged, he clearly can't stomach the sight or smell of blood 😅😅.

And in other news, I also need to know what happened between Gwayne and that Baratheon guy; I’ve always held the theory that Baratheons are into Targaryens—or anyone close to them—and naturally, they just love them.

And in the end, what’s going to happen to the poor guy? He’s next in the line of succession. As if it weren't already hard enough having to live with Ormund Hightower, fight alongside Criston Cole, and deal with Otto’s death (I don’t know if Gwayne is even aware of that yet), now he’s the one in charge and has to marry Baela—and the poor fellow just wanted to go home and be with Daeron. Give my boys a break! P.S. Freddie Fox was undoubtedly the star of the episode; an impeccable performance 👏
