It hurts. Seeing him smiling without happiness. Seeing him practicing without his usual passion. It just hurts him so bad to see JongIn doing stuff - any stuff, heartless, loveless, and lifeless.
KyungSoo is tired of this, is tired of the tan male saying he’s ok. Giving fake smiles and losing his natural brightness.
Kim JongIn is a star that shines by his own. He was made that way. And his smile could illuminate the whole world if a sky of darkness decided to appear, if everything were on hands of the bad things in life, Kim JongIn could save the world with a simple smirk.
Unless, that’s KyungSoo’s perspective of life.
That’s why KyungSoo holds JongIn’s wrist and takes him away without any explanation. Dragging him to a quiet place. A dark room. He wants to be alone with him.
JongIn is submissive. He doesn’t want to make anyone mad. So just now he dares to speak, in almost a whisper. “What happened, Hyung?”, he asks.
“I can’t allow you to do this, JongIn... I can’t let you down so easily”. After that, he kisses him, and it feels like he hasn’t kissed him for so long - maybe that’s how it was. But JongIn suddenly pulls away, tears about to explode all over his cheeks.
“Hyung... I’ve hurt you so much trough this years... so, so much...” Kyungsoo’s heart feels heavy. “I’m so sorry, I don’t deserve you... I don’t deserve you”, he repeats the same phrase over and over again, while Kyungsoo hugs him tight.
“We’ve been trough worst, Jagi. And as long as you’re with me, I can handle anything”.
“A-anything?” JongIn looks at him, he’s evidently scared.
JongIn’s heart feels in peace now, and he smiles widely. Bright eyes staring at KyungSoo with a dumb look that could only mean he’s still so deeply in love with him.
“Deal with me and buy me chicken, then. Pretty please!”
And KyungSoo meant it when he said anything, even JongIn’s usual wishes. Because for JongIn, he just wanted to handle anything.
