A Misunderstanding. (Peter Parker x reader)

Request: The one where Peter wants to organize a valentine’s day thing for the reader, so he asks MJ for help. While it’s all platonic and harmless, the reader gets a wrong impression that he’s cheating on her with MJ.

(Y/N) knows how much of a cinnamon roll her boyfriend, Peter, is. Besides the fact that the guy is a genius, he’s kind-hearted, always there for his friends, supportive, and friendly. But there are times where he’s too friendly for comfort. And it bugs (Y/N) so much.

She never considered herself as the jealous type. When the latter is pointed out to her, she always denies it and goes on explaining that she’s not the jealous type, and it just so happens that she notices certain things.

But with what is happening lately? (Y/N) might consider herself as one.

These ‘certain things’ started a couple of days ago. At first it seemed harmless and coincidental, but when the moments occurred frequently, (Y/N) starts to think that something may be up.

“I don’t know Ned…” (Y/N) tells her friend as they eat their lunch together. Peter and MJ were off somewhere, much to the girl’s dismay. “Peter has just been acting different.”

“Different?” Ned asked with a mouthful of chips. “Different how?”

(Y/N) shrugged. “I may sound like a jealous girlfriend but all that comes out of his mouth is MJ. It’s been bugging me so much.” She said.

Ned nodded. “Yep, you do sound like a jealous girlfriend.”

(Y/N) gave him a look.

Ned held up one finger, indicating her to wait. He swallowed his food first before speaking again. “It’s not really that much of a big deal. We’re all friends, (Y/N). They are, too.”

“Too friendly.” (Y/N) grumbled.

Ned noticed the grumpy expression his friend has on. He so badly wants to tell the girl what Peter really is up to, but it will ruin all the guy’s hard-work and effort to make the moment memorable. He sighed and placed a hand on (Y/N)’s shoulder, squeezing it as reassurance. “Hey, don’t worry about it. Peter loves you. So much, I think. I’ve seen that guy pin over you for so long.” He said.

(Y/N) gave him a small smile. His words brought ease to (Y/N)’s anxious mind for a moment. “Thank you, Ned.”

The ease only lasted for a while. (Y/N) tried to reassure herself that it’s all just in her head, and that she should know that Peter loves her – not MJ. But the more she sees them together, all laughing and chatting with each other, the more the cruel and anxious her thoughts became. There were certain nights where she would lay in her bed and just be surrounded with these thoughts. Next thing she knows, tears were already escaping her eyes.

She tried to make Peter hang out with her more. She would ask him to go out with her and just have a fun day together or watch a movie in her/his place. At first the plan seemed to be working. But she then noticed how he seems to be suddenly cutting their time short – saying he needs to be somewhere for a while (She knows he’s Spiderman, but when she pointed out his need to be saving the citizens of Queens, he said that it’s something else). Or sometimes he’s too focused on texting someone on his phone. And he has that ridiculous smile on his face that makes (Y/N)’s heart ache because she wasn’t the reason behind it.

Peter was still sweet to her. But (Y/N) couldn’t help but wonder if she’s still his ‘one and only’, and that he only does this for her.

(Y/N) wanted to confront Peter about it; demand an answer as to why he’s acting like that – blowing her off during their dates to go somewhere or talk to someone (MJ) on the phone. She wanted to be angry… Frustrated… But all she felt was a pang of hurt on her chest.

Valentine’s Day is coming up and she should be feeling lovey-dovey… Not all gloomy and shit.

The final straw was yesterday. (Y/N) was out doing her groceries when she caught a glimpse of two familiar figures at a distance. Her heart ached when she realized it was Peter and MJ. They weren’t holding hands or anything, but the sight still hurt. She then decided to follow them to see where they are going – and prayed that everything she’s ever thought of the past days were wrong.

She watched as the two enter a jewelry store. Her eyebrows furrowed in wonder: What the hell are they doing in a jewelry store? Peter and MJ seemed to be looking at some jewelries before settling on one. Whatever MJ said to him, it brought the brightest smile that Peter has ever made onto his face.

Her heart dropped when he hugged her.

Right after that, (Y/N) went home with a gloomy aura – the groceries forgotten.

When Valentine’s Day did come, (Y/N) wanted nothing more than to stay in bed and let the supposedly day of romance to pass. But education was important to her; so, she has no choice but to attend her classes and indulge in the ‘romantic’ atmosphere.

Peter was blowing up her phone with text messages and calls, but she didn’t answer any of them. Yesterday’s events were still fresh in her mind.

She didn’t join Ned, MJ, and Peter today for lunch. She just wanted to be alone for a while. She knew that seeing MJ and Peter will only worsen the feeling inside her.

(Y/N) managed to get through the day without seeing Peter. Although it hurt and only made her miss Peter more, she knew she had to distance herself for a while.

When she returned to her dormitory after being out for a couple of hours, she was greeted with the sight of Peter standing in the middle of the room. He was wearing a navy-blue dress shirt and black pants – the kind a guy wears when he has a date for the evening.

“What are you doing here?” (Y/N) asked. “How did you get in?”

Peter gestured to the left side. “Your roommate let me in.” he said.

Your roommate, as if on cue, revealed themselves and gave (Y/N) a sheepish smile. MJ also revealed her presence. She gave (Y/N) a small smile and wave.

Peter stepped forward. “Ned told me about what you felt. He wasn’t really planning on telling me, but when he got the news that you were avoiding us – me – he decided that I should know. And now I do.” He said and took (Y/N)’s hand, squeezing it gently. He had the most apologetic look on his face that made (Y/N) feel so guilty. “I’m sorry for making you feel that way, love. It wasn’t my intention to do that. The only reason why I hung out with MJ the past couple of days was because I wanted to do something special for you this Valentine’s.”

“Shh…” (Y/N) murmured as she placed a hand on Peter’s cheek. She caressed it gently, making Peter lean against her touch. He placed his hand on top of hers and planted a soft kiss on her palm. The gesture sent butterflies to her stomach. If there’s one thing that she hates the most is seeing her boyfriend having that broken-hearted look on his face. “I’m sorry, too. I-I should’ve known better.”

They both smiled at each other, the tension that has built up the past days finally easing up. Peter placed both his hands on her face, leaning his forehead against hers as he whispered, “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

Their lips met in a sweet kiss. When they parted, Peter nuzzled his nose with hers and intertwined his other hand with hers.

“So,” (Y/N) cleared her throat, still lost in the aftermath of their kiss, “what’s that surprise you got for me?”

Peter grinned and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Let’s go.”

“Just One Kiss.” (Bucky Barnes x reader)

Request: The one where the reader bumps into something Tony has made and breaks it, so she gets very nervous and tries to hide it. Bucky sees it all and she pleads him to not say anything because Tony will be very angry with her. He tells her he won’t, if she gives him a kiss. 

Warning/s: None. 

“Oh shit, shit…” (Y/N) muttered as she tried to pick up the pieces of Tony’s new invention on the floor. Bruce reminded her so many times to stay as far away from the thing that Tony is working on, knowing fully well how much of a clumsy person (Y/N) is. (Y/N), who was confident at that time, reassured Bruce that the gadget will be fine and that nothing will ever happen to it.

Oh how wrong she was.

So here she is now, trying to fix her mess. And trying to come up with an apology in her head.

(Y/N) jumped when she heard someone making a ‘tsk tsk’ sound behind her. She turned and saw Bucky standing there with his arms crossed on his chest. “Oh doll, what did you do?” he asked as he pushed himself off the door frame he’s leaning on to approach her.

She blushed at the nickname he gave her but set the thought aside for a moment. “I, uh, did something very, very wrong.” She told him. “And I am trying to fix this mess I made before Tony finds out about it.”

Bucky picked up a piece and examined it. “Uh-uh, I can see that.” He said.

“Please don’t tell him. Not until there’s no hope any more for this thing.” (Y/N) pleaded the former soldier.

Bucky considered her words for a moment. “I don’t know, doll. I really think Tony should know about this.” He said, with a teasing tone.

(Y/N) clapped both her hands together in a praying manner. “Please, Buck? Just for maybe a couple of minutes? I-I really don’t wanna get a reprimand from him. He’s kinda in a bit of a grumpy mood today and I don’t really wanna add to his headache.” She pleaded. “Please? I’ll do anything.”

Cute, Bucky thought as he stared at the girl in front of him. An idea then sparked into his mind upon hearing that she’ll do anything. A ghost of a smirk crossed his features. “You’ll do anything?”

(Y/N) nodded. “Anything. Just don’t tell him.”

The smirk only grew. “Alright, doll. Here’s a proposition,” he said and leaned his back against the edge of the counter behind him. “I won’t tell Tony about what you did—” (Y/N)’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, “—if…”

(Y/N) leaned forward in curiosity. “If what?”

“If you give me a kiss.”

(Y/N)’s eyes grew wide and her throat suddenly went dry. “A k-kiss…?”

She would be lying if she said that she didn’t have a crush on the captain’s best friend. Hell, she had been pining on him ever since he arrived in the facility. She remembered telling Wanda and Natasha how much of a man he is. The two only gave her funny looks and teasing smirks, which only led to (Y/N) making them swear that they won’t tell a soul.

“Yes, a kiss.”

(Y/N) knew how red her face is right now. And with Bucky standing there and looking at her like that? It wasn’t really helping her situation. But then she thought about how rare this moment is, and that she should take the chance because who knows when she’ll ever gonna get an opportunity like this ever again.

“I wonder where Tony is now. Hmm, probably on his way back.” Bucky said to himself, but intentionally made (Y/N) hear it.

(Y/N) sighed. “Just... one kiss?” she asked.

Bucky nodded, still having that smirk on his face.

(Y/N) slowly approached the man, attempting to maintain eye contact. Bucky remained unfazed and looked amused. When she was a few meters away from him, her gaze fell to his lips and hitched a breath when she felt her legs brush against his.

She placed her hand on his shoulder and the other on his jaw. She slowly reached up, standing on her toes as she did. At the last second, with their foreheads almost touching, she glanced up at him and saw his eyes closed. Her confidence subsided and was replaced by the nervous feeling again.

Instead of going for his lips, she reached up further and planted a quick peck on his cheek. She immediately turned around and wanted nothing more to get away from the embarrassment she’s feeling right now.

But before she could have gotten away that quick, Bucky reached forward and grabbed her arm and pulled her back. (Y/N) let out a gasp when she collided onto his chest, making her grab hold of his shoulders for support. Bucky had his arm around her to secure her in place.

“I knew you were going to run away.” He whispered.

(Y/N)’s cheeks flushed again at the sound of his voice becoming raspy.

Bucky tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and held her face. “You missed, sweetheart.” He said before capturing her lips in a sweet kiss, not giving the girl some time to say something back.

She has met Bucky before when he shot her in the stomach, nearly died and left a huge scar. He did that as the Winter Soldier so she doesn’t hold it against him, but he feels so sorry. They become close and both develop feelings but do nothing about it.“ & ”The one where the reader and Bucky like each other but they won’t tell each other. The reader and Steve are constantly flirting and that makes Bucky mad.“

A NOT-SO-SECRET CRUSH ;  "The one where Bucky has a crush on the reader and Steve finds out when they escape from the others. He tells Bucky to confess it to the reader the next time they all meet.“

AWKWARDLY TANGLED ;  "The one where Bucky and the reader end up sharing a bed for some reason, even though they “don’t like” each other. They wake up really cuddled up which ends up with an awkward moment. The team finds out and teases them both.”

BAD BLOOD | ONE | ;  "The reader gets exposed to a red energy substance and it alters her mind and destroys her inhibitions. Left with only malice, pride and wrath, she becomes malevolent and aggressive, leaving her a danger to the Avengers.“

THUNDERS AND CUDDLES ;  “The one where the reader is really afraid of thunder and lightning. She usually tends to plug her fingers in her ears or put the blankets over her to shield or draw out the light and sounds. Then one stormy day, Bucky comes into the room and sees the reader really shaky and trying to hide. He goes and comforts her by caressing her hair, unplugging her ears and waiting till she falls asleep.”

While filming a scene, Tom (Spidey) starts flirting with her which gets Sebastian super irritated but doesn’t want to say anything because he thinks it’s wrong since she’s young. But the reader convinces him otherwise.”

A NIGHT TO NOT REMEMBER ;  “The one where the reader is 18, an actress on Civil War and everyone loves her. She’s wild and crazy. They all went out for a night-out and when she wakes up the next day, she’s got a hangover and has to come to set. The cast tease her, especially Sebastian.”
