A(lmost a)ll Reverse: 1999 characters’ country of origin
This game isn’t small, but I’d like to have a small opinion post on it anyway.

As you can see from the picture above, a gacha game with this much diversity is genuinely insane. Not to mention many characters get to speak in their native languages, not just the standard English.
Furthermore, the game hosts events that matches with real traditions, places, and historically events through our time-traveling journey.

I would also like to talk about how men and women are represented in the game, through characterization and outfits.
Unlike many games that heavily rely on revealing clothing, Reverse: 1999 leans heavily into historical fashion and elegant, period accurate attire. The visual style is rooted in the 20th-century eras.

Even though the game has over 100 characters, the designs can always stand out through uniqueness and eye catching style, making every outfit a different hint of nostalgia.
As a Reverse: 1999 player myself, I can confidently say that it is a high-quality, boutique gacha game that prioritizes artistic integrity and rich storytelling over mainstream. It feels less like a standard mobile game and more like a stylized, interactive dark fantasy visual novel.
This game is THE place for break taking art and diversity. In modern hero collector games, I’m confused why these types still stands in the niche category.
