During the casting process, 300+ boys auditioned for the four main roles in “Stand By Me.” Director Rob Reiner then interviewed 70+ of them to find the perfect Gordie, Chris, Teddy, and Vern.

Fatherhood isn’t just about blood relation, but rather it celebrates the men who support and impact our lives in a positive way. No matter who you choose to honor today- Happy Fathers’ Day.

Did you know Ace Merrill shows up again in another Stephen King story? In “Needful Things” he buys a map that supposedly shows several locations in Castle Rock where his uncle, Pop Merrill, buried his fortune before passing.
