I’m sure some of you have nocied that I haven’t spent much time on Maycien these days, and that’s just because his muse is being very picky and doesn’t want to share with my new muse.  So for right now, you can find me over on my new blog silentxcommander

You weren’t wearing a ring, I didn’t want to assume anything unless you’re not human and I will bet credits that you are. You also seem to have a protective streak a mile wide.”

“She’s five,” Maycien said, smiling, “She’s the best kid I know, not that I know a lot of kids, but still, she’s amazing.  As for not wearing a ring...her mother and I never bothered to get married, which made it a lot easier to split up when she forbid me to go on this mission, anyway, she’s married to someone else now, so she’s fine and I’ll get Evie back when I settle somewhere, which can’t come soon enough at this point.”  At that comment he laughed, “You’d be right, I am human, and I do have a protective streak, that’s why I do what I do.  I get to protect everyone on this ship, and I’m good at what I do, that’s why I’m here.”

Nyota sobbed, nodding and shaking her head alternately.  “You have to fight, you can’t give up,” she begged, her voice high-pitched as she cried.

“I’m just so tired,” he said, grasping for her hand, “I don’t know how much longer I can hold on, but please know that I love you, and...if my ex will let you, try to get to know Evie, I’d like to her know the side of me that you’ve seen, not the one her mother will try and sell her.”
