“What they should be working on is something to up their shield capacity so that they’re more useful to people who like their performance but actually need some kind of protection. I mean, especially now when people need it the most.” Not everyone was well versed in the ways of overclocking hardware and that honestly shouldn’t be the answer to the problem. “I also wouldn’t mind a better interface when you’re linking up to a vehicle but that’s more of a personal gripe.”

He was practically up to his neck in weapon parts and making no progress, the fatigue of the day just too much for him, really. Then he heard Steve come in, setting the plate of food down and just the smell made him want to give up for the night.

“Scientifically proven? Guess that must be just limited to this galaxy.” When he saw Steve leave, he quickly grabbed a clean towel and then grabbed Steve’s wrist to stop him, the frown still on his fact. “Don’t be so quick to leave.”

Steve turned and looked back at Boss as soon as he felt the pressure on his wrist. He matched the man’s frown with a smile. He moved back so that he was side by side with him and rubbed his free hand over Boss’ back. 

“I didn’t want to distract you. I just wanted to remind you that food is a necessity no matter which galaxy you’re in.”

Steve casually walked over to Boss’ workbench and left a plate of food right near the corner. It was mostly a reminder for him to eat since his hands were covered in dirt and oil and that’d keep him from eating that exact second.

“You know, you should stop frowning like that while you work.” he patted Boss on the shoulder before leaving him to continue, “your face will stay that way. Scientifically proven.”
