Are we actually⌠questioning if clones are humans too? In real life? In the year of our lord 2017?
Is this really happening?
#ooc #THAT DOESNT MAKE ANY GODDAMN SENSE #IF YOU THINK CLONES WITH ALTERED DNA ARE SUBHUMANS #THEN YOU THINK ACTUAL PEOPLE WITH GENETIC DISORDERS ARE ALSO SUBHUMAN #THINK FOR FUCKS SAKE
Theyâre basically a subspecie of human, not normal people afflicted with trauma
@guarded-battalionâ
Yeah, Iâm calling you out.
Bull. Fucking. Shit.
The Umbara arc dealt with trauma. Rebels has dealt with trauma. To write clones off as non-human and people who donât deal with trauma is a fucking disgrace. And for you to say that you âknow what PTSD looks like on normal peopleâ and that there is apparently no other way for people to experience it? For fuckâs sake.
because you have a fucking high and might attitude is just offensive.
The sweet fucking irony here.Â
Steve casually walked over to Bossâ workbench and left a plate of food right near the corner. It was mostly a reminder for him to eat since his hands were covered in dirt and oil and thatâd keep him from eating that exact second.
âYou know, you should stop frowning like that while you work.â he patted Boss on the shoulder before leaving him to continue, âyour face will stay that way. Scientifically proven.â
He was practically up to his neck in weapon parts and making no progress, the fatigue of the day just too much for him, really. Then he heard Steve come in, setting the plate of food down and just the smell made him want to give up for the night.
âScientifically proven? Guess that must be just limited to this galaxy.â When he saw Steve leave, he quickly grabbed a clean towel and then grabbed Steveâs wrist to stop him, the frown still on his fact. âDonât be so quick to leave.â
It may be of the unfortunate occasion that Mereel managed to get into Boss' fancy shampoo, and /maybe/ the next time the man deigns to wash with it, comes out with... brighter hair than he could have ever anticipated.
Who could blame a guy for wanting to spend a little extra time in the showers, getting himself as clean as he could be? Long, hot showers were something that were a rarity in his early life and as a commando released into a new place, he wanted to have some luxury here. Granted, almost everything seemed luxurious compared to his upbringing but that wasnât the case.
He had bought a rather expensive bottle of shampooâsomething that would keep it manageable and out of the way whenever heâs mid fight, helmet or no. And it had worked.
Up until now.
As Boss lowered his hands, letting the suds wash away under the water, he noticed a few spots reflecting on his skin. But then it was suddenly no longer âa few.â It was a lot. Contained to his hands. And presumably his hair.
To say that he was rushing to get things cleaned off was an understatement. If anybody were around, heâd look like he was a blur. But he couldnât stand it any longer. Not opting for a towel, he walked over to the nearest mirror to look at himself, eyes going wide as he saw his hair shinierâand was there a tint of orange to those black strands??
There was no doubt who did this. James was a prime suspect but he wouldnât risk death. Nor would Steve even though they were both pranksters. No, it was only one person.
âMereel.â
Mereel leaks images of boss1138.
Many people share and love the images amongst themselves.
Mereel nods his head and pats himself on the back for a job well done.
âIâm beginning to wonder if half of Mandaloreâs population has the Skirata clan name.
âThanks, Kal.â

five times my muse says they donât love yours, and the one time they admit it
âThatâs my EMP grenade.â
Jatne made no indication to let the round grenade go as Bossâs hand closed around it. Only after a second did Jatne let the Delta take it.
âDid they not teach your batch how to say please?â Jatne grumbled.
â
It was very late when Jatne returned from patrol, and all he wanted was to kit down and get some shut-eye. First the bucket, placed gently on the ground. Then his deece, and his belt. Next came his pack, which got tangled on something, and suddenly became impossible to removeâ
Hands lifted the pack up and Jatne slipped his arms out of the straps. When he turned, he didnât expect to see the orange-clad commando standing there.
âThanks, Iâowe you one.â
â
âWhereâve you been?â Oni asked. Morj made a play in their sabacc game, then lifted his gaze to the squad sniper.
âScrubbing detail. Diâkutla Delta.â Jatne threw himself onto his bunk and mumbled further expletives into his pillow.
â
âWhatâs your problem with Delta-38, anyway, Jatâika?â
It was best to be careful what was said around Gev, as the man couldnât keep any gossip to himself. So Jatne shrugged. âWrong place, wrong time. We rubbed each other the wrong way.â
Gev snorted.
âShut up, Gev.â

five times my muse thought about kissing yours, and the one time they did
âYou havenât kissed anybody in your whole life, have you?â
Because of course Jatne would ask.
Jaro scratched the back of his head. âWell, no.â
âEver, yâknow, thought about it?â
A cold night and a long walk without a jacket. The friendly hand on his shoulder, the man who dropped everything to help himâ âMaybe.â
â
âRemember that time when we got scrubbing detail for fighting?â Jaro asked.
Bossâs lips curled into a rare smile. He chuckled at the memory and his eyes squinted shut as he broke into full-on laughter. Jaro watched the curve of Bossâs mouth, the wrinkles on the sides of his face. He blinked.
âYeah, I remember that, you diâkut.â
â
Jaro took over the speeder controls just after midnight. A few more hours of driving and they could rest for the night. Boss curled up in the passenger seat and laid his head against the back of the chair. Soon, the slow and controlled breaths of sleep took him. He looked peaceful, relaxed, even, as the tension in his brow vanished into smooth skin. Jaro looked back at the viewscreen and folded in his lips. Kept on driving.
â
âTheyâll forgive you.â
âBut I leftââ
âStop. Theyâre your brothers. Itâll be okay, Jarâika.â
Boss reached out and cupped the side of Jaroâs face with his hand. Jaro lifted his gaze from the floor, still not convinced, but more than before. Their eyes locked. Bossâs brow furrowed in earnest concern. More reassuring than ever was his touch. Jaro sucked in a breath. âYouâre right.â
â
The first warm night of the season, and they started a bonfire out back. Two cold ales and a couple of chairs. They didnât need to share words, only the warmth from the fire, and the stars above. Jaro looked over at Boss after a while and caught a pensive look angled up at the sky. Even in the dark, he sensed a sadness in his brother, a longing. Jaro swallowed the lump in his throat and stared instead into the fire.

five times my muse almost texted yours, and the one time they did
The larty leveled out and the pit of Jatneâs stomach returned to normal. He took a breath, turned to look at Gev, who simply shook his head. The mission exhausted themâthe disappointment even more so.
It was a clear shot.
Jatne opened a channel to Delta-38. Delta could get a good laugh out of this, with the hit to Jatneâs stats, and all. No, better not.
â
Click. Jatne snapped a still holo of the shop sign. Sevâs Onestop. He grinned to himself, thought about sending it over to Delta Squad, but talked himself down in the same second.
âAw, câmon. If you donât, I will,â said Oni.
âOkay. You do it, then.â
â
They said Delta made it off Imperial City, and Jatne wondered if they would also turn up at this Kyrimorut place. Jatne tossed his com back and forth between his hands, debating. A quick message to Boss, to check in⌠No, ought to wait.
â
The bed in Amâbuirâs basement is more comfortable than anything Jaro had ever slept on, and yet there he was, staring at the ceiling. When they first met up again on Mandalore, Boss had told him he could contact him any time. He needed someone to talk to, someone who knewâ
He tossed himself onto his side, pulled one of the pillows over his head.
â
His brother, and keeper, was leaning all of his weight on the bar as he talked with a Twiâlek who, surprisingly, seemed interested. She was taller than Jatneâbut who wasnât taller than the Meshkadâand their one-on-one conversation left Jaro to sit by himself at the bar. The bartender seemed to know where he came from and slid another ale his way with a wink. âOn the house.â
Grinning, Jaro thanked the bartender, then went for his com.
Boss, are you free? I think I might need a ride home, vodâŚ
deluxemodel:
Bossâ smile also turned into a grin, taking a few steps towards the Lieutenant. âThen, I accept your offer. And Iâll even let you use my blaster. As long as you pay.â
âSounds good to me! Besides I was planning on paying anyways.â He also took a few steps towards the other. His hand subtly reached out to intertwine his fingers with Bossâ. âLunch after? Also on me.â
âMy, this is quite the event youâve planned out.â He let his hand be taken, tightening his own grip, his features turning softer towards the bigger man.
âWe shouldnât waste any time, then.â A quick tug on his arm and he led them towards the lift, anxiously awaiting their trip.
âNot enough for that night.â Boss grinned back, even laughing at that point. âThe mental image of Sev hurling his guts out the next morning was not quite pretty.â
He grabbed the last of his drink and downed it, setting the empty vessel down on the table, choosing to watch how Jaro reacted to the rest of the drink. He already did note how his expression changes from painful to almost thoughtful, in the back of his mind thinking that he could watch this all day long.
âYou need another?â
âPlease.â Jaro flashed a smile. âIn fact, Iâll take the whole bottle.â Jaro inclined his chin like he was serious, but he couldnât keep up the act. âJust kidding⌠I wouldnât do that to you.â While this time spent with Boss was a welcome distraction, the matter at hand was Imperial City. And Morj. Jaro sighed at the sobering thought of trying to locate his Imperial Commando brother. âBetter make it a double though.â
âYou say that itâs a joke but I have a feeling itâs not.â Boss smirked as the act dropped. Nice for both of them to be loosening up.
Well, it was nice.
âHow about a triple?â He leaned over to grab the bottle, refilling both glasses as he said he would with the amount he deemed proper, not Jaro. No offense meant to the other man, of course.
âOn the house, even.â

18: underwater kissÂ
@deluxemodel
There was always something about fishing that never failed to sooth himâor, maybe, it was just being near the water that helped calm his rattled heart. Being out over open water of a lake on Mandalore, the weather the warmest its been in months that a swim called to him, and Mereel couldnât think of anything heâd rather do.
That it was Bossâ suggestion, well.
He pulled his pole back, quitting on the fishing for the day. Boss turned to look at him, silent as he watched Mereel stand.
Off came the shirt â because of course.
âMerââ
Next came the splash as he stood and dove cleanly into the water.
The cool of the lake hit him immediately, conflicting with the heat of the day that steadily encroached while he was boat side. Though where they were stationed on the lake wasnât quite deep enough to be of major concern ⌠his leg was still not quite right, and as he moved through the water he wondered if he would ever be.
Of course, Boss took that moment to follow in suit, and shatter his thoughts as easily as the surface of the water.
Surprisedâheâd be lying if he said he was expecting him to join inâMereel ceased his swimming to tread water, feet just barely grazing the bottom. He took an easy breath, waiting for Boss to showâ
and a hand jerked him under.
âOsâ!âÂ
Churning water filled his vision with bubbles. A face so similar yet so unlike his own neared faster than he could register, and suddenly lips were on his. The tension he felt at the back of his neck spike sharply down, and he broke the kiss.Â
And, just as suddenly, the isolation of the lake came as a relief. He swam back and Boss followed, to where it was shallow enough to stand, and Mereel stopped. He breathed, shaky, ignoring the dull ache that ground at him from his still-healing thigh, and turned to face the other man.
âJate?â Boss asked, the concern written clear across his expression.
Mereel reached forward, hands easily finding the waist of Bossâ slacks, and pulled him forward. âJate.â
â : Your muse adjusting their jewelry/neck tie/ etc.
[[ thanks for inviting me to my own partyÂ
@deluxemodel
âYou can do with easing up a little.âÂ
Boss remains silent and tense as all get-out and Mereel can see his words are not exactly having the effect theyâd like. Alas, if Boss thought he could out-stubborn Mereel on this ⌠he clearly hasnât learned a damn thing in their entire career together.
âYouâve facedââ
âIf youâre going to tell me Iâve faced worse things than this, you can stop right there.â Boss swallows, collar popped and eyes closing. His hands drop from the last and final attempt to tie the tie around his neck. âIâve heard that at least twice in the past hour.â
âWell ⌠if you didnât so rudely interrupt me.â Mereel sighs, gently pushing Boss to turn towards him with a hand at his shoulder. With the ease of far too much experience than is reasonable, he tugs at the slip of fabric hanging around either side of his neck, and considers the rest of his outfit. Something fantastic, maybe. Something excessive. Truelove knot?
âYouâve faced the feeding grounds of many unfortunate high society parties as far back as the days in our home galaxy.â Something that, ultimately, was only a handful of years behind them ⌠and yet felt like a veritable lifetime. âHeld your ground in more than enough personable conferences between the Alliance and C-Sec â and MandoSeC.â He gently tugs Boss forward by his tie as he went through the very complicated loops involved. âYour nation thanks you, by the by.â A slanted smirk pulls Mereelâs lips to the side. âSurvived London. Helped me put together far too many restoration operations for me to count.â
And, finally done with the knot, he smooths the fabric over Bossâ chest, then his hands over his shoulders. âThis time, the only difference is now you need backing for your project.â He takes a step back, giving Boss an easy once-over â as if he even needed to. âDonât worry so much, Bâika. I promise â itâll go well. And, even better: Itâll be fun.â
âYou invited me here, though. Something about âmy place is your place.ââ
âNer yaim cuy gar yaim, mirâsheb.â He drags his pillow over his eyes. âFind your own couchââm not moving.â
He just stares for a moment before grumbling and heading off, mentioning something about sprawling over the bed and nobody else is welcome to join.
"Who's been calling me grumpy lately?"
