6 Teas To Replace Your Morning Coffee
I used to start every single day with a huge cup of coffee. And I honestly believed it was good and I was happy with it. I love coffee, I still do, and I still like to drink a good cup of that black beverage occasionally. But I stopped drinking it in the mornings. Why? Well, after a while I noticed something that I later found out to be scientifically proven…
Coffee and Tea both have caffeine and will wake you up in the morning, BUT:
Coffee does have a way bigger “depressing effect” which means it will give you a bigger rush of caffeine but the high will also last shorter and drop quicker. The lack of energy I felt after the drop was terrible, so I eventually switched over to tea.
That’s why I want to tell you about 6 different types of tea that would be a great replacement for your morning coffee:
- Green Tea: ~ 35 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
My personal favorite, I love how it makes me feel and drink it almost every single morning! According to the American Cancer Society it is also aiding the immune system in fighting cancer cells and can reduce the risk of cancer. Plus, it’s said to help lose body fat when drank in addition to regular workouts.
- White Tea: ~ 35 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
I love the taste! And the antioxidants in the tea are said to reduce cardiovascular disorder and improve oral health.
- Oolong Tea: ~ 37 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
This one will also speed up your metabolism which means it can help with weight loss as well.
- Black Tea: ~ 45 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
Even more caffeine, tons of different variations and it can enhance properties of the immune system.
- Matcha Tea: ~ 70 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
Still afraid a cup of tea won’t be able to give you enough caffeine to actually wake you up in the a.m.? Well, try out this one. That’s a lot of caffeine, isn’t it?
- Mate Tea: ~ 85 mg of caffeine/ 8 ounces
This one is the go-to tea for most students in my university since it has tons of caffeine. The plant it is made from has 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and a whole bunch of antioxidants. Not everyone enjoys the taste, but I would say it’s totally worth a try since it comes in different blends as well!
If you enjoyed that post don’t forget to join my tea witch blog and shot me a message if you’d like to see a post on a certain topic!

Reluctant curiosity.
Struggles
The title, really think about it. To everyone, that word means something different but in a way, it’s all the same. We all have them, some big some are small but big to us in our own way. If you have ever dealt with anxiety or depression, mental health as a whole, “struggles” take on a whole new meaning. Because then the word struggles, well, it just turns into your life. It’s hard, so so hard. Especially when there are so many people who don’t understand. Most of the time you don’t have to understand, just listen.
