Unasked review about sam smith's album called the thrill of it all.

WARNINGS: SAM'S PRONOUNS ARE THEY/THEM.

i'm the type of person that can hardly spend too much time reflecting or thinking about an album, but since the opening track started i knew this one had something different. sam is cruelly honest in the songs they write, they're not afraid to describe how hard is to be judge because of who you love, a fresh broken heart, the misery of life or just how about praying seems the only way out of their darkest time. it's simple, i relate with the meaningful and deep lyrics through the hole album. even if you've never felt love or had your heart broken, you're going to feel like you just broke up with someone, because sam knows really well how to express emotion in their voice. it touches the deepest wound and makes you cry like a baby. ballad is the most present genre here, but there's some moments where we can actually take a break from the pain and enjoy the sophisticated beat. this makes the album sounds complete due to the clever order of songs. as you can see, i defend this work with all my heart, it spoke to me in a lot of different ways. lonely hours open, guys.

in conclusion, it's a well done work and i admire sam so fucking much. their song are really made for the soul, now i see it.

top 5 songs: burning, one day at a time, too good at goodbyes and him.

o processo de se curar é exaustivo e drena suas energias, mais por causa do desejo de deixar as portas abertas para um eventual retorno que nunca acontece. é como sentar na frente da porta de casa esperando um milagre cair dos céus, preferindo se debruçar na pura angústia do que aceitar que a partida só tinha passagem de ida. mas ao fechar as janelas, trancar todas as portas e deitar na cama fria, em meios aos pensamentos confusos, de uma coisa você terá certeza; pelo menos, você tem a si mesmo. e por si só, isso basta.
