It appears that JK Rowlingâs team invited Jeffrey Epstein to the Cursed Child play and to a Harry Potter themed dinner.
This invitation was from 2018, long after Epstein had been convicted of soliciting sex from a minor.

Is it wrong that I get suspicious of Star of David pfps now?
god if only there was a word for that
This requires context and nuance. People in the notes have already responded with this information but I'll echo it again.
Israel has intentionally tied Jewish identity to their ethno state. IDF soldiers have carved the Star of David onto bodies of Palestinians. They've carved this into the ground after blowing up schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods. The Star of David has been intentionally tied to the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
So many fellow anti-Zionist Jews feel the same way about the Star including myself. I get the same suspicion from others when they see my pfp (which I keep to intentionally to piss off Zionists when they visit my blog).
What's antisemitic about it all is that Zionism has conflated such evil acts to Judaism. We need to separate the two but we can't ignore the reality that while we anti-Zionist Jews are working to separate the two, Israel is working 100x harder to make sure all Jewish identity is tied to the state.
Zionism is antisemitism. Zionism feeds off of antisemitism and needs to create even more antisemitism so it can continue to exist. And that framework is how we ended up in this situation
IMO, one of the most annoying consequences of people treating autism like it's just quirky special interests and nothing else is that people will say "autism isn't an excuse for [known symptom or common trait of autism, including actual diagnostic criteria]" with no irony.
I've seen "autism isn't an excuse to be a picky eater," "autism isn't an excuse to struggle with tone/misread sarcasm in a post," "autism isn't an excuse to be bad at social cues" (with the comment of "literally just go out and learn by talking to people, it's not that hard," as if autistic people don't already do that), "autism isn't an excuse to not make eye contact, that's so rude," "autism isn't an excuse to wear headphones in class or work, nobody else gets to do that," and "autism isn't an excuse to be unemployed/live with your parents/not leave the house enough" (wondering if this person has any idea HSN autistic people exist?). Some people here are like half a drink away from saying having flat affect is "literally weaponized incompetence!!!" or something. I'm starting to wonder what you people think autism even is. Because if you've found a way for autistic people to turn off the most basic symptoms (like sensory sensitivity or difficulty with social settings), that's news and you need to share your incredible findings with the world immediately.
(Disclaimer in case one is necessary: I am not talking about assholes trying to use autism as an excuse for bigotry, like white tumblr users being racist about rap or musk's nazi salute. I am talking about things that autism symptoms actually cause, including things that are completely harmless to others but are treated as problems simply because allistic people find them weird or annoying.)
as disgusting as the new epstein leaks are, there's something almost... relieving about knowing that so much of the right wing internet is a psyop. not that it's heartening to see that people are so easily manipulated (and honestly in many cases fucking stupid) but it's vindicating that that level of hatred didn't just come out organically

scientists that are anti cap are wrong? I thought their thing was science and facts
Scientists are susceptible to bias, just like any human being is. And unfortunately there are lobbyists who perform as scientists who publish papers through âpay to playâ journals or journals that arenât informed enough about cetacean welfare to provide appropriate peer review.
And if these scientists are forced to actually defend their papers, they get upset and say that theyâre being âsilencedâ.
You can see the peer reviews here:
View the review history for An update on captive cetacean welfare
These reviewers are all independently picking up on excessive self-citation, misinterpretation of the data of the papers that suggest positive welfare and also just blatantly incorrect citations, claiming a paper is supporting them, but it doing the opposite. Itâs just. Obvious that these people are not interested in doing science, they want to perform science and make it fit a specific narrative. They then will use these papers to lobby governments and promote their non-existent sea sanctuary.
Science is not a monolith - and cetacean science consists of a vast amount of scientists all collecting data in their respective fields. And if a paper is published that is so obviously biased, it will be called out. This paper breaks down yet another Marino et alâs paper:
Reliable scientific knowledge is crucial for informing legislative, regulatory, and policy decisions in a variety of areas. To that end, sci
The thing is. These âperformer scientistsâ will complain that they canât get the data because the facilities wonât let them in. Because⌠yeah. They arenât behaving like scientists - they havenât published data on wild or captive cetaceans in years. They have shown zero curiosity or interest in learning and have been actively hostile to the entire industry (but they also want these same industry professionals to work in their non-existent âsanctuaryâ). Most of them are also not associated with any university or seem involved in academia beyond publishing lobby papers.
They have deliberately misrepresented and manipulated information to suit their narrative. They are not interested in objective science and data collection. Thatâs not how you do science.
(Also, funnily enough, a lot of these âscientistsâ are anti vaxxers now, so go figure)
There are wild cetacean scientists that are doing field work, collecting data and publishing papers, who are anti cap. And thatâs fine. I would argue that studying wild orca doesnât give them the qualifications to assess orca welfare in human care. Theyâre not doing detailed behaviour observations and creating time budgets. They donât have access to these animalsâ veterinary records. Field work is very different to studying welfare in a controlled environment. And it is difficult to compare the lives of wild orcas to captive orcas, as they have adapted to very different environments and deal with very different stressors.
Thereâs actually a project ongoing through the Dolphin Communication Project that is comparing orca behaviour in human care (at Loro Parque) to wild orcas behaviour, which should be interesting to see!
Anyway
Scientific fields, especially as specialised as cetacean welfare, are not monoliths. Just because you see a headline that says âorca scientists says orca captivity badâ, doesnât mean every orca scientist supports this assertion. Itâs likely a paper that got picked up by the media for its âclick-baitâ and any critique or concerns of the paper were ignored.
There is a steadily growing body of data supported research regarding cetacean welfare - measuring it objectively, determining positive vs negative welfare ect. But I have yet to see any of these anti cap scientists actually engage in that work or be interested in the lives of these animals beyond their own personal perceptions and biases.
âBig Pharmaâ okay are we talking about how privatization and monetization has deeply corrupted the field of medicine or are you talking about how you think chemicals in the water are making the frogs gay
âGMOsâ? Are we talking seeds that grow sterile plants and patenting genetic modifications then destroying any competition no matter how small they are? Or are we talking life saving rice with vitamin a to make sure kids donât go blind in regions not suited for other high vit a veg? ⌠or are we talking about your chidoodle?
Conversely, âalternative medicinesâ? Are we talking the traditional practices of non-Western societies which have an ancient history of being the cultural tools that allowed communities to take care of the health of their members and are nowadays rigorously studied within these communities to adapt them to the needs of the contemporary life, and can offer important prompts to modern medicine? Or are we talking about a white woman who traveled to India twice, followed a five-hour seminar and knows everything about inner energies now
Hi from Minnesota. Itâs scary here. Itâs heartbreaking. Itâs worse than you think. But we are fighting. The loon is our state bird, used as a symbol of Minnesota. It is quiet grace, a haunting call, the untamed wildness of the north. In Ojibwe teaching they represent diplomacy and leadership. In some myths loons carry the blind to bottom of lakes, and once returned to the surface, they can see. We have embodied all this and despite everything I feel a pride in my community. I made these pieces to show the solidarity I see and contribute to the fight- this is what the arts are for. STORE - đđđ profit goes to MIRACMN, they are on the frontlines here fighting for immigrant rights, and Community Aid Network MN, a mutual aid network. My Instagram for updates.

"The National Guard's giving out hot chocolate to protestors!! 𼺠There's some good in this world, Mister Fr -" stop. stop right now and look up the world "propaganda" in the dictionary. right now. now read it again. again. now give yourself five good slaps across the face.
ARMED AGENTS OF THE STATE ARE NEVER YOUR FRIENDS. EVER.
During the 2020 Uprising which followed the brutal murder of George Floyd by four MPD officers, the Minnesota National Guard was called in. They slashed localsâ (and journalistsâ) car tires and drove down residential neighborhood streets, literally tear gassing people watching from their front porches. They did nothing to stop or even inconvenience the violently rioting cops or the Boogaloo Boy arsonists who were lighting Black-owned businesses on fire in North Minneapolis.
The same armed force handing out coffee and doughnuts is currently providing security for the Whipple federal building, so that the occupiers don't have to waste their own people on non-kidnapping duty.
I wish I could go back in time and tell 2016 me that this isnât even close to the funniest thing people would do to this guy
