When i arrived in NYC 10 years ago everybody where talking with me about @mauriziofiorino , the Italian. I saw his photos online and i fell in love with his Freedom. Few years later he was having his photos exhibition in Chelsea and i went to finally meet him, but when i saw him i was too shy to say "HI". I've been following his work thru social media and when 2 years ago i met him in Milan in the train station we had a coffe and we started talking about NYC and Life and our parallel experience, in 2 minutes i found a friend. A real one. He was having his first book published, #Amodio but he told me: "Luca, let's go back to NYC, let's take a car and let's drive somewhere to look for a story". His passion for life, adventures and realness gave me life. We ended up driving thru Italy, arriving in Calabria where we both come from and i had the opportunity to read his book in his childwood room in #Crotone ,meeting his family and visit all the places that inspired him for this lovely,simple story. Maurizio never choose the easy way out, he always fights with his talent and voice to tell the truth that's why he is a personal hero to me. I'm wishing you the best for your Second Book "Fondo Gesù" because your voice is so needed for our generation and for the one to come, you show what people sometimes don't want to see, and i know how much work and sacrifice this brings to you. But i believe in you Maurizio because you are Brave And Free and because when in NYE we where a little bit drunk dancing with a priest in the most random south italian dinner party i understood that really everything is possible.
