Since she was on her break between surgeries, Madeline decided to go and get her usual mid-morning coffee. She had been up since five, and most likely would not be going home until later that evening. It was a tough job, but it was absolutely worth it. The sophisticated blonde was dressed in a black skirt, burgundy top, and her white lab coat. Adding to that, she wore her signature black stiletto heels. Fashion had always been important to her. After getting her coffee, Madeline spotted a familiar face that she did not plan on socializing with at all, so she swiftly approached a random person and took a seat at their table. “Do me a favor and pretend like we are having just the most fantastic conversation, alright? I’ll buy you a coffee or whatever your drink of choice might be.”
there was no better way to start your morning than with a five mile jog followed by a steaming cup of bold brew. lucian’s mornings always managed to operate on a very repetitive time sensitive schedule. this had always been the case even from a young age. his mother believed in keeping a decent schedule, even when the weekends came to follow. she also believed it was a good tool to promote productiveness. somewhere along the line lucian too began to think this way. the woman taking a seat before him had certainly taken him by surprise, yet it wasn’t the first time someone had occupied his space in hopes of averting the presence of another. the corner of the males lips curve upward as her shoots a subtle smile. “i am many things--though i will say i have never been much of an actor.” he notes. “but, i think i am capable of portraying such a thing. no need to buy me anything, all i ask is that you fill me in on who we’re avoiding but making an impression for.”
