The woman didn’t look alright, but Raju was always taught not to pry/ Still, she wasn’t the type to just walk away and leave someone upset. The best she could do was put on a smile and nod with a small laugh, raising her coffee like a toast. “Tell me about it. I only just now got my first break since the morning and it’s basically lunch time for me.” She laughed gently. “I don’t even think there is anyone in the cafeteria right now, and I hate eating alone. So creepy in there at night, don’t you think? If you’re not doing anything, want to grab some late night dinner with me? Unless you were heading home…”
Looking at the women she didn’t know why but she wordlessly nodding her head and motioned for her to lead the way.The news she got today wasn’t something she was sure could be processed. They told her one thing and she believed it for so long but it happened then it didn’t happen so now it left her confused on how to move forward. “”Thank you.”
lucian-king:
“ my wife, mrs.smith, is an exceptional woman. i may be her husband but ever so often do i manage to get privileged treatment. it is a conflict of interest in the eyes of others, and as a business man i can agree it falls under the same category for myself. abuse of position and power is frowned upon.” the words flow from his lips at the same pace as his hands managed to fold across his lap. he had given a statement similar to this one often, at this point in his life it came across as well rehearsed. none the less, all of what he stated was true. partially that is. nodding his head as a subtle sign of approval, he thinks over her words briefly. “ i see, and with dropping my name what is it you are striving to reach. if there is a role i must play better i be well informed on how to play it adequately. ”
“Oh I know all about your wife and her skills she told him with a small smile.” Looking over the paper work she had in front of her she nodded her head. “I know someone in D.C, he can make this small things go away but, Mr. King know this will not be cheap money wise or other. I’m sure this is going to cost so before I make the call I need to know is this what you want?”
bethanyking:
Nodding slowly as Teagan spoke, she wasn’t entirely sure she believed it was just a bad day, but she also had no reason to question it. “We’ve all been there. Though I hope things get better for you. I don’t know what the doctor prescribed, but I’d prescribe you a night of ice-cream and your favorite movie.” She spoke, keeping her tone as soft as she could. While she liked to keep herself busy, ice-cream and movies where her favorite way to spend lazy nights. And every so often people just needed a night to switch off. “I was just going to head home actually, finish off something I need to read and then watch some Netflix. I live such an interesting life. Do you have anything fun planned?” She asked, putting a little more pep into her voice, as if that would help make Teagan feel better somehow.
“That does sound good but my husband is coming back in town tonight, so I need to get home fix him a welcome home dinner its been four days so I’m missing him like crazy but I might have to talk you up on that it seems like I just need a me day and everything will be okay.”
drsethi:
Yawning, the black coffee her mother would always tell her not to drink in her hand, Raju was happy to finally be getting a break after a long night shift. The hardest part of being a doctor wasn’t the surgery or the years of med school, learning and retaining all they had to know to saves lives, it was the long shifts. Desperately in need of fresh air, she was making her way outside , trying not to be stopped by the nurses with too many questions, when she spotted a woman looking like she was about to burst into tears. Slowly, as not to alarm her, Raju made her steps as loud as possible to alert the other woman. “Excuse me, ma’am – are you alright?”
“I’m fine. Thanks for asking.” she says as she runs her finger though her hair.”Its just been a really long day and I’m tired but I know the work day isn’t over for me.” she sighs.

❝ I don’t mind my kids living their lives, I do mind them wrecking them. I just tell them, don’t be the dumb one in the group … The family is good, the same as it’s always been ❞
“Good. Well when I was high school shit was crazy all the time, it was like a real life soap opera so much drama. It was so annoying but also so good unless the drama was about then it was horrible.”
clara-carter:
there was a long pause on the brunettes end. she could never fully relate, only feel what it was like to watch her sister go through the motions. something she had watched since grade school days. “tea–” she whispers. “he-loves you. genuinely loves you. leaving him to spare him any disappointment you may think he will have is unfair to both of you….you can’t make the decision on your own.” she sighs. “i have that in stock always.”
“I know. I know. Its just he has this idea of me, who I am and that’s not me and when I tell him he’s going know right off he was wrong about me.” she told her sister. Moving along she pulled at her sister signaling she was ready to leave. “The affair wasn’t even an affair on my end. He’ll tell you that it was just small talks and showing him I was on his side which I was because I believed in him but then he fell in love and so did I but I kept things from him.”
clara-carter:
nodding her head she mouths her sister of course. private moments like such could never be expressed so out in the open as they were attempting now, it wasn’t like them. it just wasn’t the way either of them operated. stepping aside to allow her sister access to her own car she shoots her another subtle smile. “i will always be here for you, you know that. love you too .”
“I feel like I made such a mess, and I tried to fix it I really did but its like nothing I do works. Now I have to tell him and I just don’t know if I can; I would honestly rather just leave him then have him hating me.” she whispered to her sister. It wasn’t something she was sure she could do to him but she would find a way to make it happen if it came down to it. “I need whiskey.”
bethanyking:
Going to a routine check-up at the doctors was supposed to be something quick. They were always supposed to be quick, because that’s all she had time for. Leaving the building, she basically ran towards the car, throwing her bag into the passenger seat, she paused when she noticed the other woman. The part of her brain that felt the need to always be on the go told her to leave, but the most compassionate side of her won.She couldn’t just leave someone who obviously wasn’t okay, without at least checking in with her. “Excuse me.” She called as she walked over. “Are you okay? Do you… Need anything?”
“Bethany?” she asked. One of the King children great she thought to herself because the last thing she needed was her telling her father she saw his lawyer having a breakdown in the parking lot. “Hey, how are you? I’m good I just had a bad day in when emotions hit they hit.” she waved it off. Moving to fish her keys out of her car she smiled. “Its late shouldn’t you be headed to the club?”
inmecredunt:
Jude, having known Teagan as long as he had, knows just how not okay she is at present. It didn’t help that he’d taken up shifts at the hospital and had seen her leaving– looking upset. When he finally catches up to her, his hands immediately rise to her shoulders. “Hey–…” He calls out quietly, his expression filled with concern and empathy. He tries to remember why she’d be here and has to hold in a sad sigh of his own. “Bad news?” He asks, keeping his tone quiet and gentle. He doesn’t want to make her talk about it if she isn’t ready, but he knows that she can’t keep bottling things up.
“Jude.” she smiled. She had to school her face in order to talk too a friend because she didn’t want let it been known why she was here when her own husband didn’t know why she was there. “No its just work is pulling me every which way and my step daughter hates me but you know me. I love a chance to prove I can win anyone over.” she nodded.
clara-carter:
their family was a lot of things, but somehow inbetween it all clara and teagan’s relationship stood strong. granted her mother often shunned her for her closeness to teagan, but clara’s relationship with her mother was as questionable as her relationship with her estranged father. it was complicated. again, clara would always be there for teagan even if she could never fully understand the depths of her pain, because she had never been through such a thing. leaning up against her sisters car she offers the petite woman a comforting smile. it might not have been much, but she knew without teagan saying much she needed someone other than her husband for comfort. “want to grab a drink?”
She just looked at her sister before the tears fell freely from her eyes and she just nodded her head. “Can we go to you place. I don’t want to be around people or whatever.” she spoke softly. She was going to have to tell him about what she been doing sooner or later but she was scared because she knew he wanted more kids but she couldn’t give him what he wanted.
“Thanks for being here. I love you.”
wtfwarren:
In that moment, Warren knew he wasn’t supposed to be there. He wasn’t supposed to be seeing this. He was in an empty parking lot, or so he thought. And maybe Mrs Smith thought she was alone too. She looked vulnerable and he felt like he had accidentally walked into somebody’s private moment. He was about to turn around and leave when his phone slipped from his hand, announcing his presence for him. His head jerked towards the direction of the woman and saw her bury her face in her hands. This was when he decided that approaching her was the best thing to do. “Lost your car, Mrs Smith? Need help finding it?” He joked, letting out a light chuckle.
“Warren. Please I told that you can call me Teagan.” she chuckled. When he asked her about her car she remember that she dropped it off for an oil change but didn’t have time to pick it up. “It seems I don’t have my car with me. I must have forgotten to get it. I been working like crazy trying to get a deal together and I guess I forget to get it before my doctors appointment.” she rambled on to herself. “Its no big deal, I’m sure I can call a cab or something.”

❝ I didn’t mind handling this one, since I was the one that caught him. I never see anyone anymore, been working a lot … That should change soon with a teenage daughter. There is always something stupid and crazy waiting for her ad every corner and I’m not about to let her do any of it ❞
“That’s how kids go crazy and make mistakes when they can’t express themselves. I see it everyday in my line of work parents calling me cause their kids wreaked or wreaking their lives because they got a taste of freedom but guess what its not hard just watching on the sidelines but anyways that’s my rambling about the shit part of my day. “How’s the family?”
