AMERICAN HORROR STORY 3.04 - Fearful Pranks Ensue
And I refuse to write about you
Because it takes me to a place
Where I can only see what’s gone
And nothing that remains
It doesn’t stop until
my hands, shaking at my sides
Find their way to my chest
Beating reluctantly to your memory
And finally, to my throat
Where breathing in and out
Feels harder than not
These aches are real, like you
So I don’t write
For that is a place I wish to avoid
-(a.e.) // a place without you

I've always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect.
— Jennifer L. Armentrout, Obsidian
“I think about you. But I don’t say it anymore.”
— Marguerite Duras
only happy when my sorry head is filled with dope.
““Dear dad, I remember being a little girl and laughing at your silly jokes, your weird faces and your pranks. I remember how much fun it was having you around on the weekends. But Dad, I don’t remember a single moment where we had a meaningful conversation or a bond at all really. I remember the times of your addiction and the anger, the stumbling, the slurred words. I remember the hurtful things you would say especially about Mom. I remember the times you were sober when all you did was go to work and come back home just to isolate yourself in your room. I remember countless times asking you to teach me how to play the guitar so that we could spend some time together , but always hearing "i’m tired” or “i’m busy”. I remember having you around but i don’t ever really remember having a father. And now, Dad, I know why i hide behind humor and i close the best parts of me off from boys. Now i know why i don’t like getting close to people. It’s easier. That’s what you’ve shown me Dad. I’ve always wanted nothing more than a close relationship with you. I always looked up to you and i’ve always thought you were my hero. But all you’ve showed me was that you didn’t care. And that’s the only form of love i’m familiar with. The kind that doesn’t really love at all.”
— How can you have parents but not really have them at the same time?
