A diverted focus had granted fixation towards the other male, and he hadn’t expected that at all. They had spent their entire day lazing around, a conversation here and there whilst they excused themselves from such with the distractions of an electronic device to slowly dozing off. It wasn’t likely of Lucien to regard such fondness with a human like he did with the younger male, reaching out to playfully ruffle his hair although it had taken him quite the effort to reach out to do so. Either end of his lips quirked up in a small smile, and his hand moved down to pat his cheek lightly. Somehow, along the way, it was bound to happen that he’d adopt a certain kind of protective nature over him, and he didn’t mind one single bit. They had both known each other long enough to be aware which walls had broken down and how trustful they were of one another, and regardless of his kind, he wouldn’t have that differently.

“I appreciate you too.”

A playful grin took over his features, and he continued.

She was known to be consistent, stubborn, and for the short time they had known each other, he had acquainted himself with the knowledge to handle such. With a soft yawn, he waved his hand dismissively.

—Although it did not seem like it, Lucien was a kid at heart, and considerably that was just an expression. He became accustomed to rather childish endeavours despite his kind, and however, that granted him the trait to be careless, and thus, he grinned, 3DS in hand.

Blinked, and stared at the other. Settled down promptly in a spot next to him and he rested his chin on the palm of his hand whilst his elbow settled upon his knee. “What’re you playing, Zeemi?”

The shinigami’s recognition from what was beyond his interests was genuinely difficult to catch, admittedly. Not a fancy trait neither a minded one, a questioning tone had turned out persuasive enough for him to turn around regardless of its simplicity. A single brow had been arched, and as the question, his answer was offered clearly.

            “Time. Sleep. Uh, an apple, maybe?”

♒ Her thoughts were racing at a mile per minute, ranging from 'When will they call for me next' to 'I could really use a nice glass of milk’. The quaint market across the street from her current location warm and inviting, more empty than full, as per usual, and she was drawn in, the need for a tall bottle of her favorite beverage burning in her chest. Well. She was almost drawn in. If it wasn’t for the hand waving about in front of her face, she was positively sure that he would have gone unnoticed. Lazy eyes scanning the surroundings as well as the male before her.

For just one moment, her eyes met the glance of the hand’s owner, a spark of recognition in her own hues. She knew him. Her lips turned up into a smug smirk, one she often wore around him whenever they had the chance to meet up between her job and his magic disappearing act. Voice raised above her normal tone, just so he would be able to hear her, she stuck up her middle and index finger together in order to push it out towards his face.

"Well, the sun did go to school to get brighter, isn’t that classified as being spaced out too?"

An impromptu meeting led to unpredictable advances, where the beginnings of light laughter filled in for his momentary state of silence with a playful ruffle to her hair and an arm around her shoulders to follow.

He said that merely to trigger the rarely whimsical approach the both had a chance for, considering it had been quite the while since he had last seen her in the first place. Lucien wasn't one to merrily portray himself to another person's amusement, less to say, it had been quite the task to become attached to some somehow. He shrugged off such complicated thoughts for the instance and dialogue had been started.
