Can we get more exploration or development on Viktor's body horror in your comics?

that's a good question and something i do want to do more of, but it prrrrobably will not be addressed within the context of the current wip (renewal)! I prefer to drip-feed bits of lore and imply certain things more than outright Say them in the text, but i do want to gradually explore more of that aspect of him over time.

If you want to boil him down to his basic elements though, for #vibes or just as a reference point for what I'm working off of, my biggest inspirations for him are the anomalous zone from Annihilation (book, preferably, but the aesthetics in the movie are 👍 peak), The Colour out of Space from its eponymous story, and a pretty healthy amount of Resident Evil mold logic

I just read through your “Querencia” work — absolutely stunning artwork! I love your characterization of both Jayce and Viktor. I haven’t seen the “timeline hopping” trope as much as well as Viktor’s ability to shift between his human and arcane herald form. It was interesting to see your portrayal of those concepts!!

💛💛 aww thank you! Yes, I've been really enjoying both of their voices as characters and the nebulous sort of world-building I've been playing with. It's low-stakes and not very challenging in the ways that a lot of my other fandoms or ocs Are, so it's been nice to turn my brain off and just enjoy them.

I have a lot of headcanon's for Viktor's postcanon anatomy, most of which I haven't really found the chance to explore yet.

Aside from the obvious changes, I think his body is mostly just a facade made from memories and a vague understanding of human anatomy. Under the surface he's almost entirely alien. Mostly what we see is the arcane's best attempt at reconstructing him. But it doesn't differentiate between metal and flesh, so you end up with his leg brace and spinal screws becoming part of his actual skeleton.

It also tried to heal and optimise things where it could - so his rib cage is entirely metal, and his lungs are redesigned to work differently. He doesn't have a heartbeat. If you were to cut into his muscle or organs, they're just this opalescent white goo.
